When I match the settings at 35:43 and click 'Store to printer' it always saves as a .prn file. I have tried taking the ZPL from the .prn file and saving that as a .zpl file. The .prn file doesn't show in Print Station. The .zpl file shows and appear to work but when it prints I get a tiny row of text with no barcode. Print Station works just fine with the Oilchange.zpl and Address.zpl sample files. Any ideas?

      Hi,
Thanks for reaching out, we have spoken to our developer team who have provided the following response:
"Because the selection for the Destination field is the “Local disk” at 35:43, click on “Store to Printer” button will ultimately save the template as a file to your computer. If the selection for the Destination filed is the “Printer selected in label”, then the template will be saved on to the printer. The .prn is the default file extension for all the output files generated from the ZebraDesigner for Developer tool, if you do not specify the file extension after browsing to a destination for the output file. You can specify with other file extensions, such as .txt or .zpl, etc., after clicking on “Browse” button for the destination of “Local disk”.
The template file on the printer will not take .prn as file extension. Instead, the filename and its extension is specified by ^DF command inside the *.prn file, for example, ^DFE:LABEL.ZPL. When the content of *.prn file is sent to the printer, the ^DF command tells the printer where to store the template and what the filename of the template is. The ^DFE:LABEL.ZPL, for example, tells the printer to store the template on E: drive (which is the internal flash) with the filename of LABEL.ZPL for the template.
Regarding the last question, it looks like the template file you created doesn’t specify the length of the label, which could be the case where you choose to let the printer control the label length. In this case, you need to configure the label length for the continuous paper on your printer. Try, ! U1 getvar "zpl.label_length" (to get the length) and ! U1 setvar "zpl.label_length" "200" (to set the length to 200dots, equivalent to 1 inch) to increase the length. "
We hope this helps to resolve the issue.
