    That fella should be called the "Friend maker". Because as soon as people know you have it, they'll want to be your new best friend, best hole drilling, block chiseling, door way makeing, window opening, demolitioning good time, pal. So what would I do with it, whatever my new friends want. Or I could us it to make ice sculptures, patio furniture or abstract art, you never know, a man who has a special tool like that shall never be limited by anything but his own imagination.

    I am starting to het a few Metabo power tools, so far I like what I see. I have a 2 car garage where the slab is 60 years old. This beast would sure help in breaking away and setting things up for a new pouring. Afterwards it would sure help in running conduit through my home foundation and would certainly be a big asset in doing the install for the car lift....if I can get enough saved for one!

    Very well engineered piece of equipment, a lot of great minds helped this drill come to life. Metabo has always been a brand I respect.
    If I was chosen, I could certainly use this as part of my involvement in our local Habitat for Humanity home builds. We often come across old, dilapidated concrete slabs, sidewalks, etc. that have to be busted out. This would allow our workers and volunteers a easier and safer way to get the job done. Thanks for your consideration.

    A guy gave me work when I wasn’t getting any, only 6 weeks in 6 months. My town had tanked. I’d win it for him. Ive always used metabo grinders and demo hammers, I know they work hard. So the best way to repay a favour is to remind him every time he picks a tool up!

    I love metabos tools and they are great tool innovators especially they're grinders. This tool would be a great addition to my small tool collection and allow me to make light work of thinset and ceramic tiles for three home bathroom remodels I will have to do and help me jumpstart my own business eventually. Keep making good tool videos and reviews and putting out good content. Thanks for your hard work and dedication and for bringing new tools to the forefront for contractors , tradesmen and homeowners

    Now THIS is a tool! This Metabo KHEV 5-40 BL has both electronic soft start AND VTC! I actually have 3 projects that would require this tool! 1) I have to install a perimeter drain in my basement, and would use the chiseling function on this tool to break apart the concrete closest to the wall, as well as cut the concrete sections shoulder-width apart, so the cut-up pieces fit through the cellar window. 2) I have some frost heaves in asphalt driveway that need to be dug up because boulders from underground have made their way up, raising the asphalt to the point where a regular car bottoms out if they go over them. Again, the chisel function on this tool would make quick work of this project, especially since this tool has a locking switch for chiseling in continuous mode (7 spots need to be dug up) 3) I'd use the hammer drilling function on this tool to drill holes in concrete to fasten security anchors to secure my motorcycle, tool chest, boat, etc. After that, bye-bye to-do list!

    I could really use that sds max combination hammer drill to help me extend my basement, I need to clear alot of dirt, so I would throw a clay bit on it to loosen the ground up in my crawlspace in order to get the dirt out and achieve the depth I need for a 7' ceiling height, and I would also use it to chisel out every other course of foundation block, on my existing foundation walls, so I can weave in the new concrete blocks in order to extend my basement to a full basement, instead of half basement and half crawlspace, I would really put the Metabo through its paces and see what it's made of!!

    WAIT a second. This is a CORDED tool with a BRUSHLESS motor? That’s not a thing you see much/ever. You know a corded tool is serious when it has a brushless motor. That’s just showing off at that point. I want one of the 36V impacts drivers. With this thing I could stand a chance at redoing the driveway and laying a foundation for the add-on to my dad’s home. One less tool I’ll have to buy/rent from Home Depot.

    • @Fee.1
      @Fee.1 5 лет назад

      Wait it does chiseling too? So I could use this for the garage floor in the large areas that need a repour to smooth things out? Would this let me create a concrete shed of sorts like my neighbor had built after Hurricane Katrina as his storage and command center+ generator platform/housing ? But it would need cabling for cat 5 and 220v etc. because then I could actually not only easily handle my dads home and driveway but so some work in the community, I know many families I met before my mom died of Parkinsons in April who are also simply unable to afford the $3,000 a month medication (none of us could obviously) much less afford to install generators on a platform properly secured etc. but when you have a elderly loved one who can’t be in the heat or or needs oxygen etc. you NEED to have a backup because in my experience calling to say “Hi Power Company my mom is special and we desperately need. Electricity restored here before everyone else. Can it be used as a overkill regular hammer drill too? Because then I could spend more on a decent driver. I’m about ready to drive go Ohio power tools and sign my life away so I need to take a break from dreamland here.
      I just want to add though, not only did this tool break the AC tools use brushes motors only because you don’t need tiny brushless motors etc. Metabo said NEED? NEIN? Vant? Yes. Plus VE CAN so VE VILL.
      Same for the anti-vibration mechanism, that’s not something that’s been done before is it? Never seen that in the bulldog or the bulldogs big brother.
      Metabo’s corded grinder was the first tool I fell in love with after seeing AvE year it open. It should play for the NBA it’s so tall. But I think I’ll buy the 36V driver first

    Not to sound like an idiot, but what exactly do the 1 9/16", 1 3/4", and 2 1/6" measurements mean in reference to hammer drills?

    • @ChristNhero
      @ChristNhero 5 лет назад +2

      Those measurements are the maximum diameter hole in concrete/masonry that the drill is rated to (using a standard masonry twist bit, not a coring bit). So Metabo is claiming that this smaller unit has enough balls to drill a 1 9/16" hole at a reasonable speed (Although it'd probably be pretty slow since most manufacturers squeeze as much out of the ratings as possible). If you actually needed to drill a lot of 1 9/16" holes, You'd be better off with one of the larger units, however this smaller unit would definitely be able to do it if you really needed.
