Amazing how cool this guy looks when playing. one of the highest levels of live techno I have seen and heard. Luke is probably one of the best there is. The quality of the low-ends in his sets are just remarkable.
He is
Luke Slater - still relevant - class production, complex tunes, and most importantly of all, UPTEMPO and NOT BORING!
Ha it's funny you say about the low-end. I'm pretty sure he creates an entirely new sonic world in the area that exists in high-quality speakers' low end. There's so much texture and sub-bass grooves.
Yes... The fucking Master ❤️🔥
He's been around since mid 90s, his earlier stuff is brilliant
Luke Slater's Freek Funk is one of the greatest LPs from the 90s. Still amazing to this day. The entire album is a dramatic journey and setup for the last two tracks. Incredible delta heavy bliss. Cheers.
I find this way too loopy and boring. I saw Freek Funk live, your brain exploded compared to this.
Somebody stole it from me.

Cannot beat live techno when it's done like this.
Oh yes ! the best live techno dj with dave clarke, surgeon and Millsart of course !
Luke is probably my favourite Techno artist of all time. The sounds he creates are out of this world, legendary man.
sure but don't forget that he's the apprentice or padawan of his jedi master Millsart :)
Ben Klock / Marcel Dettmann / Planetary Assault Systems [live] / Ben Sims / Dax J / Etapp Kyle : what a crazy Line up ! Wish I were there... Fingers crossing to be a part of the next live dj set parties in 2021 ! Party = life & freedom ! Hope that 2020 (covid year) will be the only year without amazing live music locations to party...

Yay to that. Wanted to see him at Flow in Finland but he was on the same time as the Aphex Twin. Bummer but no choice. Twin won but now I am thinking ..............

90´s flashback! So happy I´m going to see him perform tomorrow here in Barcelona! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
that ending is amazing! the whole set is wonderful! we are all aboard Luke's Planetary space ship.
Simply the best of the best.

2 of his best tracks are Desert Races, Turn and In From The Night. For me.
Mann Mann watn cooler act! dit rollt ..^^
When sub kicks, screen shakes. It feels like i am there. Clever decision to put camera near sub to be able to receive image of the sound. Very clever. I hope recording staff will use this technique more.
Why only 30 minutes? I want more... I need more.
ME TOO KKKKK
Normally, I wouldn't judge a book by its cover. But this artist/dj's name is the coolest name ever, and my god he is really really good!
Desert racesマジで好き

pure Techno!!
19.00 mins 🎉 wow weeeee
this is so pure...Slater...You are....why only 30 minutes? why?
Best !!!
Luke really knows how to mix up electro techno sounds together... Only Carl Craig knows it too... But still I think Luke is above him but both of them belong to the highest league of mixing up the electro sounds... And so is Umek and Surgeon but not that crazy sounds... Umek sets full of funk and Surgeons full of industrial minimal... I heard Luke at Mácháč open air in Czech at 2011 I think and have his Wireless album... This is the real techno league!!! Petr from Czech, Europe...
2001... Mácháč festival, Czech Republic...
What I love about this is that while he is definitely "jamming" for some sections (maybe all of it), his timing remains really precise - it drops when it should do, it changes when it feels just right - he is obviously counting out the structure himself as he goes. This is the big thing that frustrates me about a lot of "arrhythmic" techno - it's all very well to slide around in different time signatures, but if you don't have a strong metric backbone underneath, you really are just making a big floppy mess.
must be like second nature to him, he's bang on
You forget that these guys are, well, talented - for example listen to Dave Angel’s Essential Mix from 1992. How do you mix vinyl so accurately at such high speed? Likewise, here - it never once feels “formless” even though it’s largley improvised I’m sure.
