    I’m a couple years late watching this video and really late getting in a kart at 62🤓 Dirt oval QRC chassis Tillitson 225rRS caged clone. Group of three of us went all in. Tools, tires dyno etc. I appreciate your channel. We found out that there is way more to this than we rver thought. Surprisingly after about half the season I started to get fairly competitive. Couple quick times and a couple trophy dashes in a twenty five year old QRC kart. Bought a new QRC this year and with what I have learned here and a few guys at the track that took us in I’m hoping to be up front this season. Don’t let the old man in😆
    Thanks again for your channel.

    Thanks for the videos ! I’d like to say that you are spot on on this one. I’m 44 and I started watching guys like you on you tube and got the itch to do it myself. I did exactly what you said went to a track watched a few races talked to some guys and took the next step bought a kart and started racing. I run stock appearing clone and it’s a blast! Luckily everyone I race with and have talked to have been very helpful and friendly. One thing that has really helped is the place where I get my parts he’s great guy and will tell you the truth about parts when you’re new and feel like you need to spend too money for something that’s not going to really make a difference. Again thank you for taking the time to do these videos.

      It’s been a couple years since I’ve raced up there. Fun track, not sure any of what I remember helps from the UAS class.

    I'm in my 30's and my older brother bought a kart and we have a home, back yard track. But we have also found a somewhat local track to race at. I went the absolute cheap route and traded a kayak for an old margay sr16 chassis. Is it the best setup to start with, no, am I making a lot of changes to it to run dirt, yes. Being able to do the fab work I can get it ready but I would recommend to anyone to save up atleast 1k and they could fund a very nice, newer, roller chassis for under 1k. Thanks for all your videos and keep up the good work.

      I also found a local kart group and asked if anyone on there raced at the track we would be going to and actually had a few people private message me giving me some tips.

      Eleanor is a real good chassis from what I know. Florida based company if I’m not mistaken.

    So I am going racing tomorrow. Got any advice for tight bullrings, one end high bank and the other end flatter and more dragged out. I got the Predator 212 Stage 1 motor.

    Hi, do you have any experience with the brig lo206 engines? I’m struggling with mine making a rattling noise once it heats up. I think it’s the clutch but everything looks good and no one is helping at my track. Also and carb tuning vids I would love to see. Thanks! Keep up the awesome vids

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  2 года назад +1

      I don’t have any experience with the lo206 sorry. But that rattling sound is all too familiar, I’ve heard at the track many times. Just guessing but I’d say it’s your clutch. Now while I’m not positive it may be the basket “wobbling” making that noise. Maybe check the fitment of the gear to the basket or the gear needle bearings on the hub shaft?
