I would like to suggest preparing the loofah with a stir fry next time, maybe add in eggs and other vegetables. that usually works for me and it is delicious! Hello! Recently discovered your channel! In in of you earlier videos you made a raw aubergine salad; it was beautifully dressed and presented. We tend to char whole aubergine - preferably on a direct flame after lightly oiling and pricking a couple of times. Unfortunately, I only have electric so grill! Scoop out the flesh for salad - made with green chilli, coriander and finely sliced onion or for Gratin - latter is surprisingly nice. We also use whole Bitter Gourd - yes, seeds too! Finely sliced and fried sparingly spiced with fenugreek, fresh ginger and garlic.

Thank you for the lovely video Oliver. I think you seem so much happier in Okinawa. The pottery was beautiful. I have never had loofah. When I was young, it was very popular to buy dried loofah to scrub the dead skin off of our bodies. I didn't know that people actually ate it 😂.

Hi Oliver, This was such a nice relaxing vlog! You keep your apartment so nice and clean!! Love how tidy you are. Even with your food. You wash all your veggies so good and prepare everything so well. The food you make looks so delicious!! YUM! We love seeing what you cook. Thank you for showing us around the city. You should get a nice soft chair with a soft foot stool so you can sit and relax while watching tv. It will give your back and spine a chance to relax out of your work chair. Good morning Oliver. Glad to see you are keeping yourself positive and enjoying each days new experiences. I always think the little things in life are the best to embrace. As come our way more frequently. Yes, as one gets older it is amazing how the body starts to slow down. So pacing oneself is the best thing to do. As you say, not everything needs to be done at once. I think the move - though at the moment a part move - to Okinawa has been a really positive one. You seem to do more exercise and I think all the lovely foliage and the general feel of the place must be very positive for your well being. Hi Oliver, I know in Japan dishwashers are not common, but here in your Okinawa kitchen there seems to be enough space for a dishwasher. If you buy one, you will never have to wash your dishes by hand. It is fantastic appliance.

ゴーヤーかはヘチマまで沖縄の料理にまで挑戦してくれて、本当に沖縄大好きなんだなと嬉しくなりました。私もヘチマは苦手です。小さい頃一度挑戦したときに、ヘチマは幼稚園の遠足で地面に落としてしまったおにぎりを食べてしまった時の味だと思ってしまいそれ以来食べられません。今年40になりましたが、大人になって嫌いなものが好きになったりする事もあるよなと、挑戦しようか迷い中です。あの味は下処理の問題ではなくヘチマはあんな味だと思いますし、あのなーべーらーんぶしーは完璧だと思いました。

ツナ缶のことを、昔のおばーは『トゥーナー』と言って、卵焼きやサラダだけでなく、チャンプルーなど、何にでも入れて食べますね。
私のオススメは、ニラ、人参しりしりとパパイヤしりしりで作るチャンプルーにツナ缶を入れると、簡単で美味しいので、いつかお試しください😊
