I live in the pikes peak region and sometimes you can see a tunnel open up un the mountain at night that norad is supposed to be in. But you can't drive that tunnel. The only tunnels in the pikes area are all on dirt road and very old as far as I know. They're short. This sounds like a tunnel in the ski areas I've been in.
