He would have beat mecha Godzilla if he wasn’t exhausted from fighting Kong. Also he trapped scar kings whole army in the hollow earth in his old form.
Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla are a mission success. If Godzilla didn't have cheesy plot armor they would have shaved him off the Earth's scalp. They basically had everything over Godzilla until a plus-sized venomoth, followed by jumbo Curious George, helped him win. I would see Skar King winning too, he's got kongs are servants he can use like an army and Godzilla looks to be less heavier and stocky than his previous incarnations so they both could beat him up. We'll just have to wait and see.

Also when Godzilla fought mecha Godzilla he was completely exhausted from fighting and beating Kong. Also keep in mind that Godzilla was able to trap scar kings whole army in the hollow earth in his older form so he could do it again now that he’s way stronger.
I am a huge fan of Godzilla but I wouldn't say that Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla failed exactly Mechagodzilla literary tapped Godzilla and the only reason he lost is because of plot armour since kong got into the fight and destroyed him.
