I heard this songs the first day of my freshmen year and it felt like I opened up a whole new chapter in my life , I’m now halfway my junior year and the memories this brings just warms my heart, times really flies by. Edit: I’m a senior and 17 now and listening to this song now feels way different, it all felt like a dream, my whole high school experience didn’t feel real and it hurts to know it’ll be over soon. Even though I am happier now than when I first commented this, it sucks knowing I can never go back to being that 14 year old naive mentality. Update: I’m 2 months away from graduating and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I see my 14 year old self and I think about how much I’ve matured. When I first wrote this I was an unhappy 16 year old thinking my life was already over but look, a year later I’m happy, finally. So far everything’s good.

mine was my senior year in high school!
I feel that. I found EDEN back in my freshman year of high school and it felt exactly like that. Now im in my second year of college, just breaking into my 20s and SO much has changed in my life, almost all for the better, albeit some for the worse, but ultimately it has made me a better person because of it. I wish I could go back to 2015 me and do things differently, but I cant. And theres some semblance of beauty in that. The knowledge that what we do and the decisions we make is almost always finite, and we cant go back and undo those experiances now that we're older. I truly do believe theres some beauty in that. I dont know why I got all philosophical there but hey. Just one of those nights ya know?

Any ROC song reminds me of the times I'd spend with my ex, because one of the first tracks that would play in my playlist would be bestfriend. I'd listen to the same playlist over and over again before seeing her and also after, I always listen to music when I commute. i really love this song. i found it from sunflower. this song gives me so many emotions. it reminds me of this one girl and i absolutely love her. but the subtle emotion swings always make me tear up and just like- break down. she was so amazing and genuinely caring and i always treated her like shit (i think?) and never payed attention to her feelings due to being abused and only seeing toxic relationships throughout my childhood. for three years it happened and she still was absolutely in love with me. now the tables have turned and im the one constantly pouring my emotions out to her and shit- i love her so much and i just kinda wish she would look at me and realize im not that same person. shes always talking about wanting to be important to someone and be needed and i just constantly keep asking myself 'what about me'. i want to be her number one. i want her to talk to me and shit. but by the time this song ends or she sees this comment she probably wont remember who i am. idk why i poured my feelings out in a comment section but it feels good.
update: she fell out of love with me a while ago and has been deeply in love with her best friend for a while. i knew something was going on between them. but as long as she's happy, i am too. i wish them luck and a happy relationship. turns out she manipulated and abused me and i wasnt the issue. it hurts like hell and i've been crying non-stop for the past two days, but i'll get over it soon. ty guys for liking btw.
update: i have a boyfriend now who was my friend through all of this
its good you know what started the negativity in relationships, it might be good to get therapy, write out your emotions to yourself (try not to rely on others for it because you're the one who is going to be with you for your entire life, if you rely too heavily on other people you may find it hard to seek happiness within yourself and try to seek validation. I've been there, trust me please)

Every time we separate and goes back home on the ride to home, I'm always thinking about this and getting my eyes wet. Usually, I'll just ignore that everyone doesn't think of me as a choice, though probably an escapist mentality but it helps me mentally.
In the past year I've been thinking that the problem stems from me, I tried hard by at least appearing everywhere, talking to anyone and generally being there. Though it's still in early phase, everyone treats me slightly different now and I'm now a possible choice for anything really.
