But based on how he went out, I think he secretly wanted someone to give him hope that the future could be as bright as the world he wanted to make with Kingdom Hearts.
The ending always gets me. Even though Mickey and even Young Xehanort warned Sora that he will disappear to save Kairi AKA the love of his life. He still followed his heart and saved her.
That ending had me fucked up bad. I was very happy for Xion and Namine though. I'm happy Sora is gonna be okay and helping Marluxia's sister Strelitzia in KH4.

The first time i played KH3 i was so happy with this ending at first, then that scene with that song in the beach was perfect and i started to hear the lyrics and was like "Oh! for a lifetime! yes they're happy!".... and then Sora was gone and i just remember saying "No, no, no!!" over and over.... they were cruel haha

At least you still have to watch the ending scene to Melody of Memory, Union Cross and Dark Road cut scenes before KH4. But no rush hahaha 😂🤣 and the secret bosses in KH1 and KH2
19:02 It's such a small thing, but I love that after shooting the beam of light to guide Terra's heart back to his body, Sora immediately returns to his combat stance, and only after he knows for sure that his intervention worked does he relax his stance and dismiss his Keyblade. I feel like if this were happening even as recently as part way through Dream Drop Distance he would have assumed it was going to work out from the moment he shot the beam of light, but after what happened at the end of DDD he isn't taking any chances with Organization XIII anymore.
56:00 The guy you thought sounded like Braig was the Master of Masters. Braig/Xigbar was Luxu, the apprentice he ordered to wander the world in order to watch the prophesized events unfold.

He says 'Take care of her', and not only does that call back to what Riku said to Sora about Kairi, it also makes Riku going to pick Namine up when she wakes up better because he's fulfilling Repliku's dying wish rather than just going 'hey girl, we're all gathering for a party on the beach'.
