I’ve always wondered what made Pan Pastels such a favorite of professional polymer artists over chalk pastels. Seeing (and hearing) is understanding! Thanks for another great video, Christi! (Now they just need to come out with smaller pans so we can afford to buy the entire range of gorgeous colors!)
So cool, thank you for this! I want to get started with polymer clay and trying to learn all I can.. I know you said pan pastels like to bind to unbaked clay, but can you use them effectively *after* the clay has baked as well (without worrying that they'll wear off)...?
Hi Lila, you can view the completed piece here: www.cooltools.us/Using-PanPastel-Pigments-on-Polymer-Clay-by-Christi-Friesen-s/2677.htm Have a good day!

Hi, you can color with the PanPastels either way. Thanks for the question!
Claudi, you're going to need to seal the piece or the pan pastels will wear off.
Great video! Thanks. So I guess it is safe to put the pan pastels (on the clay) in the oven? I have been wondering.
Hi Carrie, yes, it is okay to put the pan pastels on the clay and bake them. Thanks for watching!
Love those colors 😍
Wow!!!!
Gosh I love this tutorial. I can’t wait to get some of these and go,go,go🤩
Hey Christi, did you plan to show us the completed, baked piece? I was hoping to see it.

Thank you for the tutorial. Loved it =)
I would have liked to see the finished piece. I know that there’s a link to a photo but it’s not the same, I would have liked to see it here.
I’m new to polymer clay, do you use the pan pastels with a dry brush or a wet brush?
Hello, you want to use a dry brush. Thanks for watching!
CoolToolsVideos Thank you! Can’t wait to get started, great videos!

What is the piece of music you use for the intro?
