I love Sawyer's 108 minutes ping-pong joke because frankly pressing a button or playing ping-pong every 108 minutes to save the world are almost equally ridiculous notions, but one of them was a huge plot-line of the show, and the other is a joke :)
16:29 I LOVE this line 😍🥹😅😂🤭! I almost spoiled it when you reacted to the episode where they play table tennis for the first time, where Sawyer loses against Hurley. I just remembered at the last second, that Sawyer says that to JACK. And Jack hadn't even returned until that point. So I pretty closely avoided disaster. 🙈
@reatores Lol, you know I care. It's just that time again that I got blocked again here in the comments. I was talking about the German voice actor for the monk in this episode and how awesome he is (he's my favorite). I was recommending him because he has an awesome voice, apparently they don't want to hear that on this channel anymore. I must have used forbidden words or whatever. But it got deleted. Two times... Sometimes it makes me sad that our ability for conversation is so limited on this website. I have no bad intentions whatsoever. But I can understand that maybe sometimes people can get annoyed. But at the same time I think we should be able to deal with that and not blindly block speech. That's my opinion anyway...
The monk says to Desmond "You've just spent too much time running away to realize what you may be running toward." It always reminds me of what Jack said to Desmond when he was running away from the hatch in s2e3 "Why are you running? You don't even know what you're running from?!" The start, the goal, very LOST themes. And Happy new year. To you and your teams, past, present...and future ? 😊
Thank you! Happy new year! Yes, it's indeed a good connection you made there. You could even push it a little bit and remember when Ben told Jack "why are you so desperate to run away from the island? What are you going back to?" (Not a spoiler cause we've watched the finale)
Not sure if you'll see this comment, as none of my YT comments have been visible after posting them (on any channel!) for over a week. No idea why and it's very irritating. The phrase 'catch-22' was coined by Joseph Heller himself...it didn't exist before the book. The meaning is a bit different from how you described it. Catch 22 describes a paradoxical situation. Using an example from my own life, back in the day, you couldn't work (in the UK) as a professional actor if you weren't a member of 'Equity, the Actors' Union'. However, you couldn't join Equity if you hadn't already done some professional acting work. This is a perfect example of a 'catch 22' situation. Great to have you all back ❤
You two talking about who's your favorite Other? lol, that shit always cracks me up. Rodrigo the only one that smiled over it. Listening to the convo about Kate bouncing between Jack and Sawyer, you should have told them that Evangeline Lilly was pissed off about that aspect of the character too. So much so that, the story is she threw one of the scripts across the room when she read it. lol.
Eps do Desmond sempre bom.
I always hated that the clip of Penny in Desmond's vision was too short. It was only 1 frame, so everyone misses it, and are left confused why Desmond wants the events to happen. But kudos to your friends -- they noticed Penny was in the vision immediately.
'Previously' is quite often too 'leading' and can ruin surprises in the episode people are just about to watch. And these guys remember pretty much everything anyway, so I don't think we need to worry 😊
They remember pretty much everything. And the recaps hint on who's the flashback gonna be about, which leads perceptive minds to wonder about plotlines and guess things. It has happened more than once with this crew. And we're stepping on dangerous episodes for that to happen...
Yeah, catch 22 is about war. Pilots could be relieved from duty if they have mental illness. But catch 22 is, nobody with mental illness can ask for exemption. So, it's a metaphor for an impossibile solution to a life and death problem

Valeu!

Thanks for caring. And that is indeed such a funny line!

Total.

Oh, thanks for the example. It's indeed different. Totally got it now =)
Glad to be back ❤️

Damn, I hadn't seen that myself. Just checked now. Really fast.
But why do you skip previously on lost ? It provides useful information from maybe very distant episodes that someone might not remember

Subtitles are not synched in this episode
It's just fine here... is there any specific bit?
@@reatores I checked it again and it is fine now. Something must have happenned on my side
A expressão se não me engano surgiu do livro
Que aliás é originalmente escrito em português
E deu origem a série M.A.S.H.
Rapaz, informação preciosa!!

Precisely!

@@letsrock1729 Yes, and it didn't originate M.A.S.H., but an adaptation by Mike Nichols from the same year Altman's film was released.
