Remembering The Under-Appreciated Marvel Movies

With Avengers: Endgame on the horizon, I've decided to highlight two entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I think are under-appreciated. The Incredible Hulk and Captain America: The First Avenger are often overlooked, but deep down they're just as special as the rest of the Marvel movies.

My name is Felix Walton, and deep down the Marvel movies are pretty important to me. I love to talk about how I’m “burnt out” on superhero movies but I’m caught up in the excitement for Avengers Endgame anyway. I’ve been watching them all again, and the truth is that despite everything these movies are fun. I just can’t stay mad about it. I’ve seen these characters grow over more than a decade, Iron Man came out when I was 8 years old! This series has spanned my entire adolescence, and with a series that long there are bound to be some entries that just aren’t as celebrated as the rest. Marvel movies are usually quite good, but there are some that stand out for being especially eh. As I’ve been watching these movies again, though, I’ve realized that even some of the weaker entries are better than I remember. Today I wanna highlight two of those films that I think deserve some more appreciation.

Something you didn't mention is that Captain America: The First Avenger was directed by Joe Johnston--a guy with a mixed filmography, but who happened to direct one of my favorite period adventure movies: The Rocketeer. And I agree with your opinion.
