If Miraidon looks and functions like a slick and futuristic sports bike, they should have made Koraidon an intimidating, smokey fiery chopper motorcycle to fit the theme and contrast it's legendary counterpart. Instead we got a lizard with a bike shoved far up it's arse
I think the whole thing with him running while having "wheels" fits him nicely, since it has its past aesthetic and pretty much works the same as the Flintstones car, which I think is pretty cool. While Miraidon has its future aesthetic, so obviously it will function like an actual motorcycle :D
I'm still picking Scarlet, but I'd prefer if Koraidon simply ran a short distance and then used the momentum to roll/slide on its wheels for a while. Like a skateboard I guess?

But this poor lizards... I liked their designs but, when they move like that and have those... wheels and reactors... man
ok but like, this makes way more sense and further shows the difference between the past and future that's like, the entire point. miraidon is a cyborg-if not robot-and thus is very robotic when being used as a vehicle, it's body goes damn near stationary except for the wheels that just spin, it's efficient, probably faster in lore and easier to create, fitting of an artificial legendary. kiraidon however is a living creature from a time possibly before the wheel was even invented, it bounds through the landscape with it's legs and the big wheel-like things act as flotation devices because it's supposed to be an ATP (all terrain pokemon) so of course it has adapted to be lighter when flying or swimming. One enjoys travel and is the result of evolution giving it biological traits, the other does it's job and is the result of engineering and picking-the-best-outcome. and lets be honest, it would be WAY stupider, and not in a good way, if kiraidon's "wheels" just started spinning in it's chest as if they're not attached to it.
If they're flotation devices, what's the point of them being puffed out like that while on land? I don't mind how they look when he's swimming, but when he's running OUT OF THE WATER and he still has his floaties out like a fuckin moron, yeah, it looks pretty dumb

It would fit the past and future theme- Koraidon representing transportation of the past (organic), and Miraidon representing transportation of the future (technological). Either way, definitely sticking with Violet, and my smooth robo bike dergon.
Guess the dewlap and dew... "groin" aren't rolling because there is no bone attached for them to create an axis. And look, instead of having a lizard walking cycle it has a dog walking cycle, like the boars in World of Warcraft.
Yet, I love Koraidon the most........ But I'm going to spare him the shame and go everywhere on foot.
why not just get Violet and have someone trade you the Koraidon
It's a rolled up tail, not an inflated groin. You can see the spiral pattern on it.
@@asprinjuice425 I was thinking of getting scarlet and wanting to trade for Miraidon since they’re the only thing I like about violet. So yeah, definitely a good plan :’)
@@TheMorbidHobo broski, I still don’t see a spiral pattern… I see a bump in the middle of the back ‘wheel’ but other than that there is no indication it’s a tail. I’ve rewatched the clips about a hundred times…

I hate that Koraidon's "wheels" are so big. If they're going to use legs, make those things smaller.

You like ugly goofy pokemon. Some people actually like to be able to take pokemon especially legendaries seriously. This thing can't even put it's head down
If I'm being honest, I scratched my head a bit seeing that, but the whole concept of it and just the way Koraidon doggy paddles on water is just comedic and fun and even a bit unique if I dare say.
I think it’s hilarious that everyone made up the theory of the legendaries of being rideable based on Koridon’s wheels, just to find out they were right but Koridon didn’t use their wheels.
It's got the energy of one of those ride machines in front of stores
It's so stupid looking I adore my Flinstonemon
My brother in christ they ARENT WHEELS
If Miraidon looks and functions like a slick and futuristic sports bike, they should have made Koraidon an intimidating, smokey fiery chopper motorcycle to fit the theme and contrast it's legendary counterpart. Instead we got a lizard with a bike shoved far up it's arse
I think the whole thing with him running while having "wheels" fits him nicely, since it has its past aesthetic and pretty much works the same as the Flintstones car, which I think is pretty cool. While Miraidon has its future aesthetic, so obviously it will function like an actual motorcycle :D
*High Quality Animations*
Well at least Koraidon wasn't floating...
I'm still picking Scarlet, but I'd prefer if Koraidon simply ran a short distance and then used the momentum to roll/slide on its wheels for a while. Like a skateboard I guess?
Gigachad professor AND cool bike on Violet?
Come on Scarlet you gotta keep up
Piracy rules!
Idk why the throat flap wouldn't just "deflate" while its running and then "reinflate" when swimming to act as like a floatation device. I like koraidon's colors a lot more but this makes it probably the lamest legendary period to me. A motorcycle who cant motorcylce... Genius!
Anyways for more information on the biology on how koraidon extends its neckflap things, look up "koraidon inflation".
Oxygen to keep itself going??? This thing runs miles it obviously needs some type of reserve to keep it go
@@fatebags this is going from Pokémon science to Pokémon taking it too scientifically literal… It looks ridiculous. Making the flaps slightly smaller isn’t going to kill the Pokémon unless game freak says it will.
@@critter_core yet it's still something that's done? Pokemon has done some basic things with Charmander and most fire types having a flame sac? Now that you can actually see it, inflating and deflating it's a problem? It's always been in Pokemon
@@fatebags
Charmander's flame doesn't hinder the way he moves and it literally makes no scientifical sense.
Why can't Koraidon just run WHILE the wheel spins or even just run with both of theses being far less inflated?
Some pokemon run and they have no visible air sacs. Heck the air sac would probably slow him down.
@@fatebags You're grasping at straws. The flame sacs in Fire type Pokémon do not hinder movement whatsoever.

the mythical and legendary pokemons are getting powerless and common each generation
and I really wish games give them some respect as a totem of mysterious, powerful beings that challenge protagonists near the end of the stories
Its just commodified garbage now
So what? Have every Legendary forever be this big endgame thing that's hyped up throughout the game's story, and for all the power it promises when you finally catch the damn thing, it gets one-shot by the first member of the Four Heavenly Kings? Screw that, and screw you- I fell for that gag before, and it wasn't funny the first time. At least this way, I'll actually have a sentimental reason for keeping it in my party once it's officially mine.
Plus, I think it's made pretty obvious how ferocious these "toothless ersatz" mons can be when we learn that a bigger and stronger 'Raidon _killed someone_ who was trying to protect the 'Raidon partnered with us, traumatizing it in the process.
I personally like to think of the wheels as his weapons. Like this giant ass motorbike dragon pins down its prey and grinds em up for consumption
Can't wait to see Violet sell 3 times more than Scarlet just for this.

It's because it's the throat sac and not mechanical

Air sacks for stamina, neck crest for intimidation, tail wrapped up to reduce drag (seeing as, unlike a cheetah, it wouldn’t need the turning stability it’s tail would offer).

Ok to be fair, when it stands up, the neck flap looks like a puffed up chest, as if it's trying to be macho and tough, and I really like that.
It looks so goofy, I think it fits Koraidon's personality
Should have included the clip where it used rock climb and USES IT'S WHEELS.
These legendaries remind me of the eidolons from FF13, specifically Shiva since it also turns into motorcycle. Except worse. At least the eidolons looked mechanical so the bike form didn't look odd when they changed.
Honestly agree. The Shiva bike is literally the two Shiva sisters scissoring each other, and somehow it looks much better than what Pokémon tried to do lol
So his head tails can just turn in to wings that should in no way be capable of supporting flight, but his wheels can't wheel?
Hey, *"Game footage not final"*
Idk why everyone is freaking out about this. I think it makes sense a living breathing pokemon wouldn't have a weird wheel system incorporated into it's throat, and having it run like the Flintstones is awesome. Maybe these "wheels" are what inspired modern bikes.

A lot of people arguing that this is a subjective thing and they think this is cool.
That's fine of course, but to the rest of us I just want to use that to remind you a lot of people just don't have good taste, there's a reason why popular things can afford to be mediocre or even just bad.
Miraidon: Uses wheels and jets to move
Koraidon: Who needs those when you have legs?
I'm still on the fence whether or not to actually get these games.
But if I do, Violet might actually be my version of choice now.
Get them second hand so you're not supporting it financially. Stop supporting games you're torn over, they dont deserve to be rewarded for it

Hey, humanity invented the wheel back in the stone age, but that didn't mean they knew how to use it.
But like, what the fuck are these. I swear they shit out anything now and call it a pokemon. They don't even care at this point anymore about anything regarding the franchise and its future. The newer games look like shit, they produced it in like 2 weeks and call it a day only to catch the Christmas sales every year
While I do enjoy how these games so far, I'm still going to be cautious, especially after seeing how bad LGPE, SwSh, and BDSP turned out, and seeing that these games are coming out this year even though LA already came out this year isn't making this any better!

miraidon is a cyborg-if not robot-and thus is very robotic when being used as a vehicle, it's body goes damn near stationary except for the wheels that just spin, it's efficient, probably faster in lore and easier to create, fitting of an artificial legendary.
kiraidon however is a living creature from a time possibly before the wheel was even invented, it bounds through the landscape with it's legs and the big wheel-like things act as flotation devices because it's supposed to be an ATP (all terrain pokemon) so of course it has adapted to be lighter when flying or swimming.
