  • The paired samples t test uses repeated measures in which the same subjects are used in all treatment conditions. This is typical of a “before and after” design. Another way to use a paired samples t test is with matched pairs. It tests whether the average difference between two measurements is significantly different from zero.
    This video teaches the following concepts and techniques:

    You are a saint for posting these lessons, I have had trouble with math for as long as I can remember; this is easy to understand, concise, and to the point! Thank you!

    Dear Prof. can I still proceed/report with the Independent sample t-test when Levene's test indicates unequal variance between the groups by reporting assumed unequal variance?

    • @ResearchByDesign
      @ResearchByDesign  2 года назад +1

      Yes, but interpret off the second/lower line which reads "equal variances not assumed"

    Hi Prof. one more doubt. For instance, I have two groups whose scores are taken three times (Day1, Day2, Day 3). How do I proceed to analyze the trend of scores?

    • @miscelleneoustubes

      Two groups whose scores were taken on same individuals.

      Hi...what you are describing is a repeated measures ANOVA. it is similar to the repeated measures t-test, except it allows you to measure with three or more time periods. You can also use it with two scores...take the square root of the F value to get the t value.
