I've tried a bunch of these today --- and though it worked in the past --- nothing worked today. I flushed, I winsocked I manually set the IP and DNS. I turned off the firewall and the antivirus. I used the flag in Chrome. Reset to default. Restarted the DNS Client.
Nothing worked. I was down to the things. This video. Do a hard unplugging. And --- last resort --- a system restore.
But this precise series of steps you laid out in this video worked using the command prompt and then manually setting the DNS worked. I didn't even have to restart the computer. It worked immediately. I don't know why. But it did.

Sorry for the late reply! Hmm it happened on me once before, I guess there's a problem with the isp. Try reseting your modem and try again! :) And make sure there are no conflicts in firewall rules.
