But, unlike in reality, given a power to change this no matter the cost. Feels hit hard with this song, because Satoko's love for Rika is actually pure, and she is doing all of the attrocious things so then they could live a normal happy life in Hinamizawa, but you can't come out of this expecting to live a normal happy life, after all that you've done.
Finally someone says the truth as it is without dissing neither Satoko nor Rika. The absolute atrocious deeds Satoko comits and her pure love for Rika are on the same coin. Satoko wont get redemption but, ultimately, she doesn't owe anyone, nor her friends nor higurashi fans, a redemption arc.
@narpus narpus I think people that have seen only Higurashi have a harder time dealing with Satoko newly developed witch like cruelty, but people that come from Umineko too, Have a easier time to accept Satoko. Bernkastel and Lambdadelta are... very unique characters to say the less. But declaring that Satoko *is* Lambdadelta feels like something is very off. And now relating Satoko to Eua (Featherine look alike) and Vier name (Takano look alike) is really building a massive bridge beetwen the three works nobody knows how to tackle without start a discussion. But ultimately, in perspective, there should had been some kind of warning on Umineko about Satoko or Takano taking a few steps further, as Bernkastel time trapped on the Logic error was massively larger than the one Rika was. and there is no doubt whatsoever Bernkastel is Rika
@narpus narpus in my opinion the author might be trying to overarch a plot to cohesionate a bit the world arcs beetween them ( like Jojo or Nier ) and he is trying to press a bit further the conexion with the other works, but he decided to do so using the already closed Higurashi. I think he is risking a lot. To force a more substantial continuity might be either a very good or a very bad idea. Regardless the other works since each standalone work is supposed to be enjoyable without read the others, he should give Higurashi a closure that leaves satisfies the original Higurashi fans
@narpus narpus Yeah, to a certain degree, its weird to leave us out on Satoshi and Satoko and her condition (to be fair, im still unsure how hinamizawa syndrome works), but you have to remember that Satoko actually grew up, and is a somewhat adult with a stronger mental in a body of a kid, and i think they tried to show us that when she came to hospital to see Satoshi, and basically just said to him "bye bye big brudder", that she doesnt need his help anymore, because she is now above and beyond over all of these chess pieces.
The easiest way to end this "irregular entropy" is dealing with Satoko, accepting her demand to realize that "missing promise" at eps 21 of higurashi gou that making "I(satoko) believe what you(rika's) said"
Having been a slave to fate for hundreds of years, I don't blame Rika for seeking the future of her choosing. Plus, Satoko in this timeline never learned to get over her co-dependence. How much of a slave to Satoko's wishes would she have to be in the future? What if she wants to travel? Gets a job that keeps her away? Develops a passion that takes from Satoko's time? Giving into her wish and an old promise would rob her of everything she found for.

I don't know if it's the soft look of Satoko or the song itself, but this song makes me feel warm and bittersweet at the same time, it feels like a love song written by Satoko for Rika.
Yes it’s sad that simple mistakes spiral into bitterness and hate. But at the same time there is a longing, a love somewhere in Satoko’s heart. 😢 But like Rika, Satoko’s concept of death is skewed. She is desensitized to death due to her loops and is looking at everything as something like a chess game. When Satoko has the realization that all the worlds keep on going even when she leaves and the sorrow of those left behind when she dies. This will be the turning point for her and will break her out of this bitter cycle she is in.
A lot of people say Satoko is irredeemable but Higurashi has always been about forgiveness and carrying the weight of ones sin. Satoko will always carry her sins but I do believe the bonds her friends have for her will result in everyone reaching out their hands save her.

That weirdly got to me for some reason, damn Rika did not deserve any of that at all stuck in a an eternal death loop because Satoko can’t let her own best friend go, I guess I could understand both characters On one hand :Rika wants to move on experience new thing’s go to college & be able to move on with her life without any trouble. On the other hand:You have Satoko that is afraid of any sort of new changes she can’t adapt or get used to the new livings that surrounds her all the time, she constantly guilts trip Rika into staying with her, honestly I feel for Satoko yes Rika has been through terrible shit, but holy shit I kinda see myself in Satoko because things are often moving way too quickly for her, we all have to move on we may lose some friends & gain some friends along the way, but it’s our choice to try to move on with our lives just like Rika wants to do. I hope they are able to see eye to eye eventually. Satoko was mostly wrong but not completely, and Rika is mostly right but not totally. They both have been through more than enough sorrow, horror, and pain, though Satoko keeps seeking it.
@@evilprohack3.063 the manga has been great so far but it's hard for me to have hope. Not just for higurashi, but also for basically any anime or story. I was quite sad about how Sotsu turned out because I was so hyped by the idea of competing loopers... And really wanted a happy ending for both Satoko and Rika after seeing all the misunderstandings that led to this. Even when Satoko has done so many horrible things... Their relationship is undoubtedly very toxic at this point but I still can't help wishing for them to get a happy ending together and low-key ship it.
I hated the series, I didnt like any of its songs (and its fun because generally I love always Higurashi, Umineko and Higanbana songs), but this song instantly had a place in my heart somehow it's really good, since months I listen and re-listein it

I hope they all make it out alive eventually, and all get a happy ending. It seems a lot of this could have been avoided if they really sat down and talked to each other, truthfully.
I hope they are able to see eye to eye eventually. Satoko was mostly wrong but not completely, and Rika is mostly right but not totally. They both have been through more than enough sorrow, horror, and pain, though Satoko keeps seeking it.
Although I was extremely disappointed with Sotsu as a whole, I still love this song.

@@evilprohack3.063 the manga has been great so far but it's hard for me to have hope. Not just for higurashi, but also for basically any anime or story. I was quite sad about how Sotsu turned out because I was so hyped by the idea of competing loopers... And really wanted a happy ending for both Satoko and Rika after seeing all the misunderstandings that led to this. Even when Satoko has done so many horrible things... Their relationship is undoubtedly very toxic at this point but I still can't help wishing for them to get a happy ending together and low-key ship it.

I hated the series, I didnt like any of its songs (and its fun because generally I love always Higurashi, Umineko and Higanbana songs), but this song instantly had a place in my heart somehow

Lambdadelta existed before Bernkastel, so no. And Satoko is nothing like Lambda. Satoko's entire arc is stumbling on "miracles", stumbling on saiguden, Eua, becoming a looper etc nothing that screams lambda's trademark certainty. You're getting hard baited by red herring lol stop insulting lambda
