Such a gorgeous album, sounds at once lost in time and of its time, particularly once you sink deep into the lyrics. I hope beyond hope she’s able to tour the record in Australia!
What a beautiful voice. I didn’t know about her till I saw a comment in The New Yorker. True what they wrote: a unique voice.. Wishing you much success in your career 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You can catch her live in Golden Gate Park at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival, a free 3 day event from October 4-6. The complete schedule of who is performing and when will be available on the website in September.
Finally receiving the recognition she deserves. I've been a fan of her since her first album, and this album feels like the culmination of someone searching for his own sound. The best record of 2024.
Son of a gun. I was really _furious_ when they started performing. I calmed down, _instantly._ This song. _This_ is the proverbial song that sooths the savage beast.
Please put Samantha Fish on! She is huge on the Blues Rock scene and has been on Slash's SERPENT tour, Eric Clapton's Crossroads festival, is seen every year at Jazz fest and is opening for the Rolling Stones this month! She is a bonafide Star that deserves more TV exposure!
Thank you for recommending her. I will give Samantha Fish a listen to now. You sound like you know what you're talking about. 😊 I wasn't familiar with her. So many cookies in the aisles these days. Which is good! 🎶👍❤
@@stevehorst1712 there are a handful of good female blues guitarists, but Samantha is by far my favorite. She blends so many different genes of music, weaving them into a musical tapestry. Each album is a different thread, they each have a unique flavor. From Motown, Americana, Rock and Blues, Samantha does it all... And Well! She is also one of the best live performers out there. She is always on the road touring.Enjoy!
Your sound is innocent and wise at the same time. Quiet mentions of your murmuring mind entwined with unplugged strums. The tone of your voice a vision in the weary way it walks through the verses...until the chorus comes. You make me want to rhyme along with this one.

Saw her perform on Colbert on Australian TV. Beautiful song but could not make out the words at all. Had to come on RUclips because the TV captioning was so wacky, I was pretty sure she wasn't singing about Chris Minns, ET and Celine Dion! Well done Jessica, hope you get the recognition you deserve.
5 songs by her that are 5 of the best songs i've heard in recent years. she's like nick drake's level: On Your Own Love Again This Time Around Crossing Aeroplane Back, Baby
Pratts song had a nice melody but I'm afraid I don't care for singers who so poorly enunciate the lyrics that they cannot be understood (even by those who are native to the language). I don't know if it's lack of her confidence in the lyrics? What I do know is that it robs the audience of the soul of the song. Sure, you can turn on captions but really, do you want to have to do that? I would hope the musician choses to deliver the whole of their creation. JMHO
I can’t even comprehend how good this song is. Velvet underground vibes. What an incredibly talented artist.
Yes! I'm also thinking Cowboy Junkies.
Wonderful track - and respect to the sound team at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for honoring the nuances of a truly delicate voice.
Best album of the year and up there with my favorite records of all time.
So happy her music is getting out there! An incredible singer/songwriter ✨️
Song makes me cry. I’m glad good art is still being made out there in the pockets between popular music.
What a voice! I must listen to her album
I've listened to this twelve times this morning and it's only 08h17. I'm completely smitten. Just such a beautiful song.
Very relatable. I listened to her new album four times in a row the day I bought it
This is the best album of the year. Everyone must go listen! ❤
Ok,I'll do exactly that right now!!

Settle down, Jessica.
One of the most contrived and pompously ridiculous comments out there. Settle down there, Karen. 🤣🤷♂️🤦♂️🙄

This performance was so beautiful
watched her live last night in a sitting concert in Munich and I can confirm that she´s pure magic!

Album of the year. Hands down. Can't stop listening (and don't want to stop listening).
Thanks so much for giving her a national platform!

Rarely does the music artist at the end of the show grab my attention ... Jessica certainly did. Truly wonderful.
Love me some Jessica Pratt. Excellent sound, wonderful album.
Amazing album. Very melodic. Love it. Her music is amazing.
It's 1967 and I'm in a Dream😊

Beautiful music! I love her new album! ❤
Wow! Absolutely love this! Can’t wait to hear more from Jessica Pratt! 🎧🎧🎧
That was really beautiful
That is a beautiful song.
Fell in love with this singer. Kinda like a voice I know but it's new too. Loved this. Soul Soother.

and that first album was a lifechanger as well. she's been a stand by the whole time. So cool to see her get her flowers
This scratches the same itch for me as Cotton Jones' "Tall Hours in the Glowstream". Lovely vintage sound.
absolute legend!
A coupla weeks ago I attended a Pratt show in Vancouver and got a free sauna!
She is magic. 100 percent.
What universe did this drop into our universe from. Like droplet of rain from heaven.
Absolutely outstanding!!!
❤❤❤
Album of the year.
It´s a round record pound per pound. In another league. Music and the hearing sense.
Can’t wait to see her next month in Atlanta!
Stunning ❤
Just saw her in Portland, wonderful show
Yeah , she belongs in portland because she sucks
My buddy was roommates with her (about 20 years ago), we'd go out to Mexican food all the time. She could barely play the guitar at the time...
lol that is awesome! ya got any pics or vids from that period?
is this about getting mexican food or you just being a dick?
That’s rad. Crazy how things change and develop
This was so amazing!!
Wow first time watching her perform live. So excited to catch her at Pitchfork
lovely
Great performance!
What year is this, 1962? I love it! The instrumental, intonation of her voice, and the minimal but perfect drums.
Life is magicañ❤

Nice change up to the bridge she splits off from the back up vocal
Check out her song Moon Dude
Thanks to Chanel show, i could have heard this masterpiece
Good morning stephen colbert fans
WELL THAT WAS THAT FROM PRATT!
Oh. Very good. I must jot down her name.
The original is so beautiful I can't even. This sounds a bit muddled to me. But still nice.

The music sounds a lot like "Guess I'm Duub." Written by Brian Wilson and performed by Glenn Campbell. However, it's lovely song.
Definitely some "Pet Sounds" vibes in the opening passage.
Is this really live? Why does it sound as if they were using 'Don't Worry Baby' by The Beach Boys as a backing track?
Is this rhetorical?
Can't even understand the lyrics lol
What😂 could not understand a word.🙄
Check out her wonderful latest album, or, you know, don't bother. :)

@@BalletRosesOfficial Way to go girl! Some people are just imbisiles. Thanks for her lyrics to shut him up.
She stole this whole rift from Glen Campbell - Guess im dumb. look it up.
Sorry this sucks.
Dude you can't carry a tune to save your life and you're saying an artist who just released her fourth album with her own songs and touring sucks lmao
Sorry, but you don’t have an 8.8/10 from Pitchfork 👌🏻💁🏼♂️
Not impressed.
stop the presses! mlose50 isn’t impressed! This is a disaster!
Try self-pleasuring first.
Is this a joke? If it isn't it is a sad time for new music. This stuff is terrible.
What is so sad about it? It's just an artist singing a song she wrote, not a rapper or a trapper or whatever. What would you like to hear?
