do your DD on this car - the car is fast, nice but after sales service is not existent - no one cares if you have any issues and is not interested in any type of follow up - not one dealership - the market will die if this keeps going

During my trip to Italy I got this as a rental. It was the diesel model which produced great mileage on the highway. Unfortunately though being 6’1” and my friend 6’7” it was very uncomfortable. The back seats were even worse no matter what size you may be. If you’re under 6’ and just looking for a fuel efficient vehicle without the comfort and very low end infotainment system then go for it. I really don’t think you can compare this car to a BMW or Mercedes...this car doesn’t even come close.

The rear could easily be mistaken for a Kia.

That's a good thing since Kia designs are made by an Ex Audi designer which is why they now look amazing but not near as good in the car drive.

The 2.2 d is a dinosaur. When everyone is getting the engines smaller, Alfa kept this size. So disappointing.

      Its about power

Yep, if u want to compete with a Mustang or Camaro. But if u want to be better than Mercedes, BMW or AUDI (1.9/2.0 best sellers) this is not the way. Diesel is not only about power but consumption. Should have looked at the best diesel years in a row, BMW 2.0. Super power with great consumption. I look fwd for a 1.4 with 200hp on a Alfa. I think VW already put it on AUDI also. Trend is to lower the size.

Downsizing engines is pretty much yesteryear.
First of all: downsized engines only consume less on paper. In reality they have little to no advantage.
Secound: Reliability issues, like the horrible vw (audi) 1.4 Twincharger.
Third: Power. Small engines may be turbocharged to hell and back, but a 200hp 1.4 Turbo stands no chance against a similar 200hp 2.0 Turbo, just in terms of power delivery, driveability and throttle response / picking up speed.
Rightsizing is the key. Even audi offers the 190hp petrol a4 as a 2.0 Turbo unit.
And the base petrol Giulia is a 2.0 Turbo as well, with MultiAir technology, delivering 200hp.

What's the point of small engines which use 4/100 on paper but 10/100 in reality, I'd rather have a 2.2 which uses 5/100
