Yeah, I looked on Wikipedia, and it said that gaming sites gave it 9 out of 10s and stuff like that. They even said that the animation for the cutscenes were good, which basically sounds insane.

The worst game ever for me is the one called life. The graphics are way to bright, the story sucks, and the tutorial is 18 years long. Heck, I've heard of people who never leave the tutorial due to the difficulty of beating it...Not to mention there are way to many protagonists...

I think the game bugged out...I'm stuck in my room for about 16 hours a day. For some reason I can't leave, and the only things im allowed to eat are hostess twinkies and mountain dew. I think the menu is glitched, but I'm not sure...

It's funny how the Zelda CD-i games belong to the same franchise as Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, which are often refered to as some of the best games ingaming history.
It isn't part of the official timeline. So it basically doesn't exist.................

They actually made 5 of them, and they're actually all pretty good. Sure the graphics don't make good usage the DS's graphics capabilities, and the stories and everything else is considered inferior, but they were still great games, and their original soundtracks by Geoff Zanelli are among the best videogame soundtracks ever composed.

Numbers 3 and 2 had me rolling! Big Rigs looks absolutely hilarious! I kind of want to play it so I can defy physics and literally run over everything! But yeah without a working opponent that would get old after awhile. Seriously though, did the gamemakers decide not to test the game out first or what? I just fail to see how any of these games on this list minus the E.T one (I watched an entire documentary on that, so I know the story behind that one) got approved to sell to the general public.

I bought that game for Seven bucks just to laugh at the cutscenes. Cutscenes are the best part of that game because you don't actually have to play.

I really do feel that ET's only hated these days because people love to jump on bandwagons. Yes, it may have been bad, but it was made in SIX WEEKS! What do you expect in such a short timeframe, a masterpiece? Quite a few games have taken a lot longer to develop than 6 weeks and been as bad, if not (disputably) worse!
Oh, and I love how some people are hating on CoD in the comments, again jumping on bandwagons. Yet I bet those same people are praising Nintendo for Mario Kart 8 for rehashing MK 7 by adding a few gimmicks and calling it "new". I'm not a fan of CoD, but I respect what it's done for the genre. What I hate is fanboys who treat one franchise differently than the other, despite the fact that both are doing pretty much *THE EXACT SAME THING*!

Nah man ET was that bad, and the fact it practically crashed the Video game industry makes it so.
Zenkai76 I highly doubt that it's ET's fault completely; there must have been other bad games around at the time for consumer confidence to drop so significantly. Besides, the only reason bad games that are released these days don't affect the industry as a whole is because there's a lot more choice, and it's a lot easier to differentiate between the good and the bad ones, whether that be due to paid critic reviews or from the opinions of the regular gamer off the street.
Well duh! The game was developed in 6 weeks.. and? Is that the excuse? NO! they decided to release such an awful and incomplete game (like big rigs), SO, they deserve all the critics and shit people is throwing at it.

Quest 64 was enjoyable to me. I do agree it could have been so much better, but it was released fairly early in the N64's life, I do recall.
Also, aside from Bugsy 3D, the others were pretty fun, if not a bit hard to control.

Fortunately, I haven't played any terrible games except for minecraft. Definitely the worst game I've ever played
Visuals and sounds were horrible in every way. Hundreds of bugs and glitches, HORRIBLE AI for all of the NPCs, boring animals, bland maps, it ran horribly, randomly crashing, freezing and dropping frame rate, most of the time, it ran at 20FPS, the story and characters were literally non-existent, it had no server list and the servers rarely ever worked, and the worst part, the other people, so many douchey admins, immature kids, trolls, hackers, greifers, and annoying sky fans. Waste of 30 dollars.

People saying CoD... Just no. While the game is unoriginal and the community annoying, it's nowhere near as flawed as a game as these games. At least CoD is playable and somewhat enjoyable. Uninspired, but enjoyable. Which is more than I can say for any game on this list.

No one who really knows the history of video games would ever say ET is the worst game ever. If it wasn't the poster child for the "crash" it would never be mentioned in lists like this. There are dozens of games on the 2600 that are easily worse than ET. Anyone who says otherwise has never really experience the 2600 library.

when it was released if you knew anything about the game it was in alpha or beta they started out selling the game only on there website but it made it on to steam from steam greenlight and at the time steam did not have early access meaning the game was released at full price for a game in beta.
now moving on people are still bashing the game saying it is crap when in fact its further along and better then dayz standalone in a lot of ways. the fact that a mod (breaking point) is also better then dayz stand alone is just really funny. its really fun how people bash warz still and no one is bashing dayz when the lead dev quits and they have still not added respawning items or zombies. how hard is it to take something from the normal Arma 3 engine (same engine dayz stand alone is using) and have it working in a game that has all of those things working
Bottom line: warz if far far from being one of the worst games ever. yes they made some dumb decisions about marketing at the start but even on day 1 warz was further along then dayz is right now.

To be honest, most of the Call of Duty games are dying down because they're trying too hard. At the end of the third Modern Warfare, they ended up with small maps, and a few game modes that don't really get things interesting.

I love how 90% of everyone's Ten Worst Games lists contain the predictable mainstays like ET, Superman and every game some popular internet reviewer has overreacted over but none of them have anything truly godawful. I'm not saying that the games on this list are good or even passable, but I'm just saying Drake and the Nintey-Nine Dragons and Aquaman look like GOTY contenders when compared to games like A Town With No Name, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties or Crazy Bus

Was it an officially licensed title? Custer's Revenge is another one you often see on lists like this, but I assume it was excluded because WatchMojo weren't taking into account unlicensed games. There are plenty of mind-bendingly offensive games out there that probably didn't fall into the criteria used.

#3 takes me back to my childhood. One of my mom's friends from back in the day brought me this game. Trust me, after at least one hour on the game, it get boring and then you'll realize how shitty this game is. I use to have this game on PC. Big Rigs is a shit game. It only has like two to three some levels with only two or three custom design truck you can choose from. All parts of the game are complete trash. that was flat out one of the the worst video games I've ever played.
Most people genuinely name good games being bad or worst... They can be disappointing despite the fact they're good. I mean... I was disappointed by The Last of Us but I do know it's a good game on its own. But again, preferences, fanboys and trolls literally make this comment section a mess.
You want to know what's a bad game? Go play Chibi-Robo Photo Finder on the 3DS. The gimmick doesn't even work except if you use your own computer to capture the image and you don't even know if you're doing it right. And NINTENDO is selling this game on the eShop. It might not be a physical release... but a game like this not even working? Damn...
A Nintendo-produced game being bad AND released at retail? Metroid: Other M. Like Ride to Hell, this game is sexist and uses every single woman in the story (worst offense of Samus Aran) to portray the ideal relationship between a mother and her child... with a damn alien or an android (this android being Mother Brain, go check out the story). It doesn't make it for a good game because the mechanics destroy any sort of challenge, making the whole idea of exploration futile. Good on paper but as a game, it falls flat on its face and people are defending it. It's not buggy or not outright broken like Chibi-Robo but it's a bad game, objectively...

The story is worst than bad: it's offensive to any woman being just... intelligent enough about relationship. This is Twilight-story quality! Samus isn't confident about her own actions through the entire story. The gameplay is a stepdown from Metroid Prime 3 (that was a good game): items are useless, you run in circle into copy-pastes rooms from Fusion (it was also a good game) and it lies in the face of everyone having a real knowledge on what makes a good Metroid game: exploration and rewards.
Objectively, if you can bring up a better analysis from the game, this title is an insult to any Metroid fans... and I used to defend it... because I was a damn fanboy who was thinking exactly like you did.

Mr. Galaxy Even the AVGN agrees on Big Rigs. His thinks E.T. on Atari is not that bad, and it's not the worst game he's ever played. The title for that accolade would be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on NES. I respect Howard Scott Warshaw for making E.T., it's a very interesting specimen, and one of the few Atari games where it has an ending. Believe it or not, E.T. closely resembles the movie. Not at all like any of the LJN movie-based games on NES. Now Nintendo wanted some quality on their games, but LJN games were accepted because they want tie-ins. E.T. was legendarily hated, but Big Rigs is the real deal.

Madagascar 3 the video game is the worst game I've ever played, slow controls, boring story, lousy minigames, the level design make it impossible to figure anything out, the NPCs are annoying, and the game's trailer lied to me in getting me to think that it was a simple party game, it isn't. This has to be the worst thing in gaming history!

@@PhillyBagel It depends on how bad a person’s epilepsy is. Mine can be triggered by any kind of flashing, fake sugars (like aspartame, Splenda, etc.) or too much stress. Not everyone with epilepsy has symptoms that severe, though!

See don't hate on COD Ghost to much, sure it doesn't have the same feel as the other COD's and them taking out demolition and all...... but, it's still a good enough game that people play it every single day. Also world at war is has worse multiplier atm with hacker's and stuff in every lobby....

You can try using "objective" criteria like sales figures, but that would end up rating games like "Final Fantasy VII" too high while ignoring games like "Panzer Dragoon Saga" completely. And there are so many games out there that most people say are wonderful but still have crowds that proclaim them crap. "Chrono Trigger", for example, was one of the best games ever for the SNES and may ultimately end up being Squaresoft's greatest achievement, but if you don't like RPGs you'll say "meh" to it every time. Many say "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" was the crowning jewel of the series, while "old-school" gamers might argue it ruined the old gameplay of the originals like "Castlevania" and "Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse" and those deserve better recognition. And, of course, the "legacy" effect. Most people would argue "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" should be on the list, but since that game is, in many ways, just a "3D Update" of the gameplay of the original "The Legend of Zelda", should that game be on the list too? If so, should it rank higher? Lower?

Call of Duty: Ghosts was horrible. The campaign was okay but the multiplayer was downright boring and fell flat. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 sucked as well because Hermione would take forever to do her spells, all you do is shoot bad guys with your spells and you have to learn the spells. ITS THE FINAL CHAPTER.
