Thank you for not trying to turn this into a motor trend episode. Love the realness of the footage. Filmed well but not over dramatized. I mean why would it need to be anyway. Awesome work.
On one of the episodes they included a scene where Ian Johnson chewed people out for not helping keep this guys rig from tipping over and grabbing a strap and taking pictures instead. I had never seen that side of him, it was funny becauS of they way he mocked them while being angry
Yep, he's always there to help anyone. It's like he can't leave broken stuff alone and it would be crazy not to invite him on a trail like this. He is one of a kind. I haven't seen Hunter in any of the shots so he must be in a position to get the best of Paul's struggles and others for his channel later on.
Rory Irish is the most underrated driver in all of RUclips. He out wheels rigs with 5x the money into them than his cheap buggy. love seeing him work his magic.
I don’t know why you think his buggy is cheap? It cost the same to build it as any other. The only difference is he already had a lot of the parts bought for other dead rigs. But he still had to pay for them.
@@kenmeuse2226 Jeep coil springs and shocks on all four corners. No fancy ORI struts or king coil overs and bypasses is what I mean man. With that being said I’m actually impressed to see Ian Johnson rocking coils and leafs in an activity like this one.
@@kenmeuse2226There’s a huge level difference in build cost in those rigs lol. That Ultra 4 rig is worth well into the six figures for instance but it is a full blown ultra 4 race rig. Big v8s vs stock 4.0s, suspension, etc.. They are all well built rigs and have money in them but some have way more dollars in them than others. That’s not necessarily a good or bad thing though as some are built for different purposes than others
It's okay guys..... @KCampen1986 is totally spot on and it's obvious that @@dustinkelley7932 has never built a buggy or he would not have gotten so butt hurt over an honest comment. It is what it is.... Rory does have a cheaper build but its apparent that he is the king of putting together a running rig out of junkyard parts.
If I was a betting man I would pick Rory every time. Everyone has pretty capable rigs but I have doubts that anyone else has the amount of seat time as Rory. That experience pays dividends.
Matt Offroad Recovery with Rudy and Lizzie, then over to Holly and Robbie Layton who introduced me to Peck Brothers and now here @ Hell and Back,,,, what an amazing community...
I like how this is a competition but at the same time everyone works together to help each other and make sure everyone makes it to the end. Having Paul, Rory, Rudy and Robby involved i know with there experience everyone should be able to make it through
What I liked best about this is the lack of competition. The community and the joy that others succeed. Of course, some were more helpful than others and some more coccy, but all in all, it's worth watching. Lots of good climbing. Greetings from Norway.
I loved that you said You'd like to get everyone together to say 1 last prayer...that tells me you've been praying. I love that...the right channel to watch God Bless These People & This Channel
So… the wildcard entry videos were fun… BUT… what about a 12(or 24?!)Hell&Back Elimination Event… and the winner (makes it, or least pink helmets) gets to compete in the actual H&B?! But whoever wins the elimination round gets to pick who goes first on the actual H&B since they’d be doing damn near two… You’d get double the footage, and twice the amount of up & comers get exposure
Rory always talks about it, but the stuff at 35:35 is what he means by, "tearing up the trails". that driver is just throttling out when 9+ have made it without that much wheelspin.
Rory is Legend in any vehicle he has built. Money don't get you to the next level, skill and know how puts you through the trail. anyone else has been over Moab more then Rory pulling a broken rig off it I think not.... For me Rory is King of many hill climbs... Great video glad Motor Trend has left the group....
Love watching Paul. And it's fun watching buggies struggle and then a road legal rig make it look easy. Lines matter yes but its still kinda funny. I'm curious if Paul had bigger tires if he would have gotten stuck 🤔 .
Got to see Rory's rigs close-up in Moab in October, and they're all gorgeous rigs, "rat rods" of the off-road trails! Love to see Rory and his crew, as they're masters of the trails!
Great collection of great drivers!!! 24 Hours for a 1 mile trail is No Joke!!! Let's all hope someone needs a Tow and Rory drives Mater in to haul it out!!!
Loving it all right now. Can't wait until the next episode. Rory is killing it. One of my favorites to watch. All the teams are amazing and fun to watch. They all have their own way of doing things and that makes for a great video. Stay safe guy's and catch you on the trails next time.
Thanks, Marvin, for pulling these events together. I have read a lot of people comment how a lack of preparation or restraint leads to good RUclips videos. Running out of gas, shooting ten pound rocks 100 feet, etc. What I like watching is people handling challenging situations with a cool and collected head. Rory is like the zen master of off road. The Sun Tzu of rock crawling. He knows the limits of his vehicle, reads the lines then executes. It's a pleasure to watch the man work.
Great episode. It's just the rite length video. Definitely can't wait for that next episode. Rory is my vote for driving the whole trail without winching. Poor ol Rudy's transmission will be lucky to survive
What a great mix of personalities. Everyone is having fun and helping each other out. That's why I got hooked on wheeling over 30 years ago. 😎👍 I hope my JKUR is done in time to qualify next year. My son promises to bring the Krispy Kremes for you, Marvin.
Tough, entertaining, nothing major broken yet. But everyone is ready to help a fellow competitor. Seeing the pros and cons of the various vehicles and drivers. Length, tire size & thread, flex, power, speed, risk/gain/damage. Several pinks, a couple minuses, few egos kept in check.
24 hr Hell and Back didn't hook me in past years, but I'm into it this year. Great trail and epic lineup of drivers!! Only thing that would have been better would be if Holly and Mischief Maker were able to compete.
Met Holly at an event a few years ago and she is the worst. So arrogant and acted like she was too good to talk to anyone who was not "RUclips famous." I hope she fades into oblivion after this injury.
Peck brothers doing the 43” SX crowd proud! Man Paul needs to step up to 42’s I can feel the heat coming off that 904 in Rudy’s XJ..that rig needs a doubler or atlas bad. The green Jeep is a good machine..good driver and spotter for sure. The U4 rig is just ridiculous..it’s a bull in a china shop but the drivers there to party!
Some awesome rigs. Rory definitely knows the limits of his buggy... but that race buggy just seems to tear things up bad for anyone that has to follow him though.
If John Grounds wants to participate he should be a little more environmentally respectful and mod (change converter) his race rig to handle crawling. Skinny petal doesn't show skill. He knows that from his last 24 h&b. He must be a great guy to be invited again. 37:10 Saying that negative I love this content and all the camaraderie. Thanks for the good stuff
i like how Ian says he going to listen to music so he doesn't have to listen to the spotters. Then he's about to roll and hes using spotters and then the pink helmet
Love those episode of 24 HTH&B!!! The RUclipsrs was a Awesome Idea!!! And everyone has such a Great And Positive Attitude towards Each Other And Cheering Each Other On!!! And what a trail you guys found! If you can call it that! Kinda like you just saw a spot and said Hell Let’s Go!!! 😂
One of the best videos about wheeling. The team work while still wanting to do the best you can, the video of both what the rig is doing on the rocks and why yall were taking that line. Then the diversity of rigs and how they have to handle a line different. Absolutely loved it
This reminds me of that old navy phrase "Where we go one, we go all". I love the unity, comradery, the trash talk and everyone working to get everyone else up the trail. I knew that either Paul or Rory would be the first to work on a rig (not their own).
Thank you for not trying to turn this into a motor trend episode. Love the realness of the footage. Filmed well but not over dramatized. I mean why would it need to be anyway. Awesome work.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🤘
Marvin's rocking it like he does every episode of 24 hours to hell and back....
Yes 1000%

Rory and his rig never ceases to amaze, deffo the underdog low budget crawler but super capable and Rory’s driving is impeccable
Rory and Rudy have the cheapest rigs for sure.
Not to mention that he’s a great spotter too.
Agreed@@bishmayoung

Great you found us! This was season 5 of 24 Hell and Back! You got lots of catching up to do! 🤘
Im here for Rory,Paul and Rudy, and now Robbie, but introduced to a whole bunch of cool folks to follow! Thank you, @flex,rocks&rollovers!
Rory is a legend for sure. One of the most capable Riggs and didn't break the bank to build. Great job.
Those shots of Trailmater looming in the background in the beginning give me old Top Gear vibes! The back up car of shame if your car breaks😂
When did you see trail mater?

Now this is how I like to start my Sunday morning! Coffee & Rock Crawling 😎🤘🏼
I cant even imagine the work that went into this, and it's better than I hoped.
Happy to hear that! We put a lot of work into these! 🙏🤘
Agreed, wish I was Pauls passenger.
@@FlexRocksRollovers It shows it too!
Best rock crawling filming on the Tube! Stoked for another wicked few episodes!
Thanks guys! Love your channel too! Been watching it a lot lately! Great work you two!

"the joy that others succeed, " well stated
Fun to see so many folks I follow working together on this project…really enjoying!

I bet he buys bigger ones soon.

Let’s go Rudy, Paul and Rory 🤘🏼

Breaking an axle isn't good, but where it broke was good and quick, easy fix. That is a serious rock garden. Love these videos.
Love the pec Brothers jeep and they build them to drive on the street
we need to see Rory driving up the Trail Mater as a bonus episode :D
Driving it backwards! 🤣

Appreciate you Marvin!
That was Freakin AWESOME GUYS WOW Great job. This is gonna be AWESOME thanks for the video guy's.

Keep it up. Love the raw footage. Good group of troops also

I love seeing the Ultra4. It literally has to hammer and bulldoze it's way through the trail. I want to build one some day.
I had to work today. Had to peek and see how it started! Hated going back to work. 2 p.m. can't fast
enough so I can just focus on this!!!❤❤
