That's because the ramps haven't evolved since nearly it's inception... Besides height or transition changes, idk what they could potentially do to change and evolve vert, it's a halfpipe afterall lol. Anyway, without ramp changes or major changes in equipment, it's current design only allows for so much before they reach that limit and progression finally slows to a crawl, if not halts entirely...and they reached that limit years ago IMO. The only difference I see is that instead of having a mellow consistent run with one or two huge tricks at the end like it was years ago, they now pump and go as high as possible while trying to do their huge tricks from beginning to end, but they're still the same tricks. The fact they have those once difficult run enders dialed to the point they can do it through the whole run, just shows how much they've stagnated in progressing new tricks. The athletes keep getting more skilled, but they're held back. Then you go to mega ramp and there's insane video game tricks being developed and that's due to the ramp and the time is allows guys.
Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this. The runs they put together are still great, the athletes are hugely talented, and there are a few more tech looking tricks happening, but compared to the progression in biking and FMX, it is really restricted sadly.. Still, really cool event and stoked to see the community 🙂
Yay congratulations Mitchie great contest love all the skaters good job.

Love it, thx Travis ❤
Are the judges blind Moto won that. what the heck.
Or am I wrong?
it is interesting to see the lack of progression, over 20 years ago people were doing similar runs.

Nah reefs style is no good. And selection of tricks are boring.
