Какой там отрывок русской саги. Просто взята фольклорная основа и на нее нанизаны очень интересные вокальные техники. Получилось очень гармонично , уникально и абсолютно не похоже ни на один музыкальный стиль. А по сути никаого русского фольклора и нет вовсе. Его выдумали еврейские композиторы и балетмейстеры. В стиле ансамбля Березка.

Diana was born on May 31, 2003 in the Far East in the city of Arsenyev (a town in Primorsky Krai, Russia, located about 160 kilometers (99 mi) northeast of Vladivostok). In an interview, the girl said that her biological mother beat and mocked her. According to her, the woman was already the 12th pregnancy. True, every time she got rid of the child. Having become pregnant by Diana, she, as in the past times, planned to have an abortion. But it so happened that the girl still survived. Already in three years, the baby came to an orphanage. At that time, worked as a masseuse Irina Ponik. The woman was so imbued with the affectionate and kind girl that she decided to take custody of her. But even with age, the fear of Diana’s own mother did not pass, and she asked Irina to leave as far as possible from these places. As a result, in 2012, the family moved to Togliatti. ABOUT “Rechen’ka”song:
It's an Old Russian song. In it, the orphan bride turns to her deceased parents and asks them for blessings on marriage and care in someone else's family, according to another version, she drowned herself.
Russian ritual song of the orphan bride: The girl has no parents. The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. She goes to the river and asks for the blessing of marriage, she says that there are many people at home, but there is no father and mother. You hear Diana singing in a whisper, these are the words of the deceased mother of the bride. Then the girl is crying. In Russia, weddings sang sad songs to scare away evil, and the marriage of a young couple was happy. Such songs were called “weeping.” The figures behind Diana are spirits of water and forest.
This is folklore and the song has deep meaning. Previously, the river was considered an otherworldly place connecting the living and the dead. And an orphan girl comes to the river to ask for blessings and protection from the river (that is, to the deceased mother), since she is being married to an unloved one. And she suffers from the grief that there is no one to protect or bless her.
"Rechenka" (Dear River) is a very-very old Russian folk song and it's melody is typical for Russian pre-christian chanting culture, then Russians lived in total harmony with Mother-Nature. The lyrics contain a lot of archaisms but they are very cheerful to Russian ear and understandable as well. It awakens the deepest strings of Russian soul and cultural genetic code. It like turns us inside out.
This song has a completely different meaning in the performance of Diana. The final has changed. This is not a wedding song. This is a scream. I'm impressed, not only for the diversity of singers you mentioned but your knowledge about them. Normal limited reactors mention United States commercial singers that have nothing or too little similarities to her like were is a mention to Diamanda Galás experimenting with her voice for example or Europeans as Nina Hagen?; as you mentioned I feel with Latins like Lila Downs, or even a little the past Monica Naranjo, she share the interpretative and theatrical of each regional baggage and low mysterious tones, same as with Yma Sumac is all these traditional ancient chants of their own culture but mixed with more games in the voice to make them more earthy, animal, shamanic even. Reminiscences of their or Mongolian, Georgian and Bulgarian chants and Middle East in general too, well all that part is really reach in influences and various chants techniques.Or is just the similarities with lullaby form, all kind of share some points all around the world. Diana previously announced a collaboration with the young and little-known American composer Adam Ferello. I believe the word your looking for in describing her is, Siren. From Greek Mythology - dangerous creatures who lure nearby sailors, with their enchanting music and singing voices, to crash on the rocky coast of their island. And man, she fits that description perfectly. Like you guys and many others I've watched, we all become completely transfixed by her voice and stage presence.
