Whoever shoots their videos doesn't get enough credit. This and "one way ticket" are incredible and at COMPLETE opposite ends of the feel-good spectrum.
I keep coming back to this video in my downtime and find it very tragic and highly evocative. Not only does it show the mental and physical struggles of prostitution as well as conveying their desperation, but it shows the bittersweet side of those who seek prostitution. Most media portrays it as a victim being sold around to powerful rich figures, but this is not the case here. Instead we see people who are just as desperate for love as the prostitute is desperate for a stable life. The moment you see the lady take off her wig, you realize she has to put up a huge facade to impress people. She's already given up on people accepting her as she is, so she seeks comfort in her hired lover. It's a rather common theme across most of the people portrayed in the video. They are all in a rather pitiful state themselves, like the guy who wanted to record the two of them dancing together. He's paying for a romantic memory in addition to the sex. They are all paying for what life seems reluctant to give them. I find that very fascinating.

What the heck? I searched this song after discovering it on Spotify expecting to see some fancy high-budget music video with tens of millions of views, fitting for such a freaking good song. Turns out it's virtually unknown. Only goes to prove how rigged the music industry is and how little song quality has to do with what actually becomes popular.
