That’s weird that you get negative comments about getting a nanny…if you can afford one on one care for your child why not? Maybe some ppl r concerned about the safety aspect … dunno

I totally agree. Not everyone’s lifestyle is the same, if you’re working (even from home), you’re going to need someone to look after your kid. If you’re blessed enough to afford it, I support it. People have to work. Those who make comments on it most likely don’t even have kids, had family helping out and had a different lifestyle where they were able to stay home. Either way… it’s no one’s business. I support blocking negative comments on this subject.

Mom your doing a great job! I have 3 kids my oldest and youngest all went through this. It was emotionally exhausting. It’s so hard watching your child cry for you. The absolute worst. But what your doing is good. She will get better, it might take time but trust me it will get better. Parents need to build each other up not tear parents down when you see them struggling. No child in the world is perfect not even theirs. You got this mama! Your doing an amazing thing for your daughter. ❤️

I went through it with my daughter. She did good on the first day of school. But then after the first week she wanted nothing to do with school. And she had a really nice teacher. What I started doing was playing with her like if she was in school and I would say positive things about her teacher and school. And I will tell her my stories when I went to school. And I also bought her things to use in class like a pretty pencil a cute backpack and outfits she wanted and shoes too. Hope she gets better at drop-off that's always the hardest.

Tear drop I think. Girl, them other moms are trippin', they know they have their issues too. Of course, to minimize how they feel and what they do, they feel they have to maximize others issues. Let it roll off your back, and smile! It will drive them other moms crazy.😊

I went through this with my 5 year old when she started TK and it was so hard for the both of us. She cried, I cried. I even called the school telling them that I wanted to unenroll her because I didn’t feel like she was ready. I kept her in and I’m so happy I did. Shes in kindergarten right now and doing great! School has taught her to be so independent and social. Stay strong mama, it WILL get better!

Omg! I totally understand the preschool thing. My daughter is 2 1/2 and we tried preschool with her a month ago. She only went the first 2 days ( only lasted 2 hours b4 they called us) she screamed and didn't want the teachers touching her. They basically ended up telling us we couldn't bring her back. I felt so bad and defeated. I really hope your baby girl pulls threw and you!! Sending positive vibes 💕💕🫶🏾

I hate that you are going through this but please do not let that stop you from dropping off your baby. Sometimes parents do not know how to read the room. This is a major transition for the family and she will take her cues from you. Just try to stay calm and allow her to have her feelings. Just keep encouraging and supporting her. It should get better; just be consistent. Disregard the nanny comments. Do what feels good to you and if you are blessed to have a nanny, do not apologize. Also, be aware of your comments as well. I know you didn’t mean anything about it but when you talked about the other parents removing their child, you said you and Jamie were committed to doing the work. It could be perceived that the other parents did not or took the easy way out.

I work in corporate and everyone with littles has a nanny. I dont have children but I they all speak about how difficult it is being on time for pick ups with traffic and kids getting out so early. most of them use nannies part time for pick ups, snack time and dropping them to their extra curricular activities which gives the parent time to finish work, come home and start dinner etc. I do not have children yet, but I think it's fab. why struggle if we dont have to just because "our parents did?"

My boys did cry first time in school and I cried every time a soon as I got in my car. It was so hard… but it does get better ! Kiddos start gaining independence and making friends. Always see how she is when she’s out of school? Is she happy, excited or sad, 99% of the time the crying is only the first few min of class. Some moms are bullies or “forget” their kids were on the same boat. Even if their kid didn’t cry, we should be more supportive of moms who are already feeling down about the whole situation.

Awww sending you a hug and positive thoughts….🙏🏼♥️I’m very familiar with this..I went through this very same situation with my youngest son…You are not alone…Many many parents do!….I’m not sure if the school will allow it or not ..Our school did this …They allowed me to come 1/2 earlier than all the other kids to stay in the classroom and reassure my son that I would return…Once he was busy with an activity I would leave….I would do this for a week…Then I went 20 minutes earlier, still reassuring him until he got busy (distracted with a favorite activity) And then 15 minutes earlier….Then I was able to drop him off at the same time as the rest of the children with no crying….I’m. Wishing you ALL the best…♥️♥️♥️

    Hi Naomi,
I enjoy watching your RUclips channel and appreciate your honesty about how both you and Presley are feeling about her going to pre school.
I am a recently retired educator and have 3 grown children of my own.
Believe me, I have had many students over the years who have cried after being dropped off at school including my own children when I dropped them off at their classrooms.
My students usually stopped crying after the parents were out of sight and they were engaged in an activity with other students I’m sure that will be the same for Presley.
Every child is different but I’m sure before you know it Presley will be going into her classroom and will be excited to play with her new friends.
You have already done the hard part by finding a school and teachers who are nurturing and will have fun and enriching and engaging activities for Presley.
Presley is adorable and has the cutest personality! You are an amazing Mommy and are raising her in a loving and nurturing home where she is thriving so don’t let anyone make you feel bad or guilty about having a nanny to care for Presley when she gets home from school.
I hope you have a wonderful time visiting your family
    Take Care
    Roxanne

Omg Naomi! We are going through the same situation with my 2.5 year old son in day care! We started day care in the beginning of September. He was ok, with drop off, still unsure and wanted Mommy! Did well through the day, but at nap time was upset. He gets over being upset fairly quickly is what day care staff tells me. Then we went on a family vacation last week, so he was away from day care. So it was like starting over again! Now at night my son says he doesn't want to go day care! At drop off he cries 'I want my Mommy' urghhh my ❤. But I let the staff take him and settle him. I try to listen at the door if he cries for long lol
At pick up time, he's laughing and playing. He's happy and so excited to see me!
Starting November my husband will do most of the drop off now, so he doesn't get too upset.
Another family member went through the same, and took a few weeks before the kids stopped crying and also dad stared to do drop off too.
Hope this helps! We are going through the same ❤❤

    Big big hug ❤
My son entered daycare when he turned 1, and I knew that he wasn’t really enjoying himself and drop offs were always very emotional. So when we had the annual PTC, the daycare teacher told me that she hasn’t really seen him smile or laugh that much until recently (which was ard 11 months into daycare by then), it literally broke my heart.
Today, he is 2.5 years old and is enjoying himself much more. He now shares stories about what he does, and plays much more with the rest of his friends.
I know your daughter will do great, and you are doing great yourself, please stay strong and take care!! ❤❤❤

My daughter is in kindergarten. We are almost 2 months into the school year, and she still cries/tears up at drop off every morning. We take it day by day. Separation anxiety is so real lol 😅

Naomi, i went through what you did with P … the crying etc. In the end, the teacher suggested the father do the drop off, and it worked. You’re on the right path, don’t worry. Almost ALL parents go through it and it IS traumatic for us too … perhaps some don’t want to relive it by retelling their story.

Love the second pair best. When i subbed prek a bunch of the students would cry for their parents. It seemed to help them to make them to tell them that we all miss our parents, but you do get more used to it.

Hi there 😊 I felt for you so much when you are being so honest about the phase you all are going through and how you feel everybody else hasn’t had the same experience. I feel like that’s me, but I have discovered something, people down play their struggle for some reason but all our little ones process differently but one thing they absolutely share in is that it is a process and you are a mom that cares and is aware of your child’s process and that is a good thing! You are not alone and she will eventually get used to it but more importantly she will feel safe to express herself with you because you care.

I have two kids. Male and female. 5 and 9. Both very different. Male 9 years old always cry and still cries or whines when going to school .the 5 year old I’ve never had a problem with her dropping off at school. All kids are different. Don’t beat yourself up momma. You’re doing a good job!

Starting a new school/whole new routine is soooooo hard! As a mom myself and having been a preschool teacher for 4 years I have a couple of tips (take it or leave it, I never judge parents on what they think/known is best for their family 😊). Make drop off intentions clear and keep it brief. Big hugs/kisses, tell them they will be fine with their teachers, teachers will take care of them, you love them, and reassure them you will pick them up after school. After that leave, don’t linger. Also, just a reminder, it is always harder on the parents than it is on the child! You’re doing great mama ❤

"leave dont linger" Worked for me earlier this year when I had to go on a work trip. It was the first time that I'd be away from my daughter over night.. I had to do that at the airport and she was just crying and my heart was in shambles. I'm a work in progress in my parenting journey. All the best to Naomi, great job so far❤️

Hey girl! I was binge watching your tik tok’s at 1am. Lol I love how you’re such a fashionable mom. I’m a mom of 3, and Been a sahm for 15 years and a PT nanny myself. Props to u if u wanna get a full time nanny. Do what u feel works. To each their own. 🤍 and OMG, I can relate about parents living in another state and literally just seeing them “once a year” that’s my life too. Just don’t forget about date nights, and u already know lots of self care! U deserve it. 🙂 personally the hardest thing for me with motherhood was finding OTHER moms to relate to. Like where is my “mom tribe” 🙄 lol.
You’re definitely not alone. If u wanna keep Presley in school, that’s good. You’re not giving up. but ewww it doesn’t help if other moms can’t even show empathy. I can’t. 😂😓 Naomi, I wished we lived closer. (I’m all the way in SF) I can see us being mom friends in real life. The hardest part is feeling isolated 🫠 because mom life seems so glamorized u know? But separation anxiety is real. I’ve been there. Feel free to vlog about mom life more and vent. 💕 appreciate your authenticity and realness.
Love your videos! Keep ‘em comin! Are u guys dressing up for Halloween? 🎃 any plans? 🥰

I can totally relate with you on what you said about nannies! I can’t believe the amount of hate people get on the internet because of this, it’s ridiculous! getting help with your kids allows you to allocate your time better and spend more quality time with your children when you’re with them because you were able to achieve your other goals in your “alone time” and you can fully focus on them, which is how it should be!! I will always support moms who are real about getting good quality help when needed 🤍
