  • This is the hardest puzzle that I have ever done in my life. And that is why the pace is so slow. In this puzzle, you can' t just take 50 pieces and put them together. You have to done it one by one. Video has been made on the way that one picture was taken every five seconds. Now I see that I should set the camera to shoot one picture every 10 seconds, or even more. If nothing else, enjoy the music!
    Music:
    Spektrem - Shine (NCS Release)
    Different Heaven - Nekozilla (NCS Release)
    Ahrix - Nova (NCS Release)
    If you have any questions, write them in the comments.
    Thanks for watching!

    I made a 2000 puzzle in 2 days ( 18 hours ). I really like puzzles. I have made many puzzle. Due to the fact that I don't have enough space, I have all the pieces in the box. So all the time I have to turn the pieces to find the correct. However I think is more hard the strategy that I follow but I think is more challenging.

      Yes, a lot of people say that I have a lot of patience. I just love doing puzzle because it makes me feel relaxed and it is like I am in a whole different world. For a moment, I forget all my worries and obligations. :D

    Omg, well done! I had received this puzzle as a gift but I had it changed with another 2000-pcs puzzle, "The Billy boys" by Jack Vettriano, because I didn't want to become insane. That's real dedication, kudos!

      Thanks! :D I said a couple of times that this is the hardest puzzle I have ever done. Not the biggest, but the hardest. Harder than 5000 pieces "Leben im Koralenriff" which is the biggest one I have done so far. With this said, I can completely understand why you changed it for "The Billy Boys" one, which I never saw before. It looks really interesting to put together so I hope you had much fun doing it. :)

      @@thepuzzleman thanks! I did already 70% of it, thanks to the quarantine here in Italy. Now there is the last part left, the sky, terribly difficult because it's entirely made of just one solid colour. Stay safe and enjoy all your puzzles. 😘

      Thanks! It looks really difficult because it is. 😂 This is the hardest puzzle I have ever done and I have done a 5000 pieces one, so you can trust me when I say this is really hard one. 🙂 I didn't use boxes back then, but now I use plates or boxes to sort the pieces. It is much easier to solve it. You said you became addicted to puzzles...the only thing I can say to you is keep doing puzzles! 😉

    Your first 2000 and you choose one of the hardes. Its almost all blue. I had not much fun doing this puzzle but it looks very nice once its finished. Im doing a 12000 piece Puzzle (New York) right now and the sky is sooo hard... but it will look amazing once its finished.

    When you have them sorted like at the 1 minute mark, how have you sorted them in those lines ? I am trying to get to this level but not sure how to organise them like that to help the process. Thanks

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 года назад +4

      Well...it is just a lot of experience. :) You don't have to sort them in lines. It is important that they are sorted by the shape. I sort them by shape and then each shape I sort so that each piece is facing same direction, that is why they look so well organized and it helps a lot for solving areas like sky. :D Just practise a lot and I am sure you will be able to organize them even better! ;)

    Frage 1: Wie behält man den Überblick, wenn man alle Teile auf ein Mal auf dem Tisch ausbreitet, auf dem der Platz so dann auch nicht mehr richtig zum Puzzlen reicht?
    Frage 2: Wieso fängt man dann auch noch mit dem aller schwierigsten Teil des Puzzles, dem blauen Himmel, an?

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 года назад +3

      Let's say that this is my last option to solve parts of puzzle like sky or water. I think this is the slowest method because you have to try every piece that could fit by the shape, but it works perfectly when you solving sky without clouds. :) I tried this mothod long ago, but I never sort them by the shape. Once I saw other people sorting them by shape, I decided to try it and it really works! :D

    Are you sure that 1981 wasn’t a mistake because I’ve counted a ravens burger, 2000 piece puzzle and its 50 pieces by 40 pieces

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  Год назад

      Some of the puzzles are indeed 50x40 pieces, but this one has 1981 pieces. It depends on the aspect ratio of the picture, so not all 2000 or 3000 or any number of pieces puzzles are the same. :)

  • @nedimayvaz6536
    @nedimayvaz6536 4 года назад +2

    Why is there a real number of pieces? Isn't the number exactly 2000?

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 года назад +6

      Actually no. In some cases number written on the box is rounded so it looks better on the box. You can imagine how it would look if 1981 was written. If there were exactly 2000 pieces, there would be 40 rows and 50 columns, but then ratio would be 40:50 which divided is 1:1.25. This ratio would give more square looking shape of puzzle, which is not so good for picture like this one. So they went with more rectangle shape, which is good, but then you can`t get exactly 2000 pieces. The first combination of columns (which are important in this story because we want puzzle to be wider) and rows that would give exactly 2000 pieces is 80 columns and 25 rows. This combination gives ratio of 25:80, which divided is 1:3.2 which is too wide, it would be like panorama puzzle. This is why they write 2000 on the box (to look nice) and in reality there are 1981 pieces because of the good ratio. This is my theory about the difference in real number of pieces and number written on the box. :) It doesn`t have to be correct, maybe there are some other reasons why they make it like this, but as much as I know math, this should be it. :D Thank you so much for asking because you gave me the opportunity to explain and I think more people would understand it better now! :)

      @@thepuzzleman I don't take many puzzles apart anymore -- only if I really don't want them. Then I donate them to a thrift store. But when I do take them apart, I usually put the border pieces in a separate bag for the next person. If they don't want them separated, they can always mix them back into the puzzle.
