looks like it will handle heavy duty work. I still prefer the form factor of their compact version, very nice balance which makes overhead work a lot more bearable. Would love to see them release a brushless version of the 10.8v compact with a speed setting
YOu need to put a Core battery on that thing. I own this saw and have been really happy! Thing is a beast and can also take a beating. As usual when Bosch steps up there game the other companies cant keep up.
I found the SDS/blade lock collar is a bit stiff too. It seems like it works better if you "open" it up to about 75% rather than 100%. You've got more experience with recip saws than me, what do you think of the weird form factor? I've found it... well, a little unnatural feeling but pretty well balanced/easy to grip. TotalTools did have it online for $379, but they've since taken it down. Who knows what the final price will be! Bosch AU have been a bit weird about this launch.
Gents, I love every review, keep it up, keep it real. I have the full Bosch platform. But currently I feel disappointed. Are you planning anything with the recently released grinder and the new battery?
Oz Tool Talk I am dedicated to Bosch and the quality and reliability they have upheld for so long. The last few years have made me question my stand. Do you agree?
[Dwain] in comparison to some other brands, they have been slow to update. But the recent upgrade to recip, grinder, SDS and drill have helped a lot. ALso CORE batteries!
Thats a beast looks real heavy duty.
That saw looks like a beast. Too bad Bosch won't put out more of their cordless tools over here in the states.
Also, diablo blades ftw!
Bosch is junk!

It´s a MONSTER.
Nice review oztooltalk "Dwain" liked its features and power, looks to be a winner mate🙌🏼👍🏼
[Dwain] cheers John!
That style blade locking collar looks like a winner. It seemed to handle the saw dust ok?
[Dwain] yeah it's a really solid blade holder.
Looks like a cross between the Milwaukee Sawzall and Hackzall

Very nice
