    =======================================================
    Create a User Drum Track Pattern. In this example, the pattern is from a MIDI file converted into a Drum Track Pattern that can be used in Program and Combi Mode.
    -Load a MIDI file or record a pattern in Sequencer Mode
    -Go to Pattern RPPR
    -Set Pattern Parameter
    -Get Pattern from Track
    -Name Pattern
    -Convert to Drum Track Pattern
    -Select Unused Drum Track User Pattern
    -In Program or Combi, select your User Drum Track Pattern (ensure that appropriate Drum Kit and Tempo Settings are Selected)

    I was using the track or timbre pitch shift or transpose to shift the pattern notes. It works for me but means i have to pitch shift or transpose every time i use the pattern in a new combi or song track.
    Good to have learned here that i can use “track edit” to change the note mapping in the track before making it a pattern, and then have the remapping embedded in the pattern itself.

    Thank you for another fine tutorial on the Kronos. I find it challenging to work exclusively with the Kronos's interface and would opt to do the midi editing in my DAW e.g. Cubase. It is good to know however that it can be done on the instrument itself alas with a lot of screen jumping. Again, thank you for taking the time to make your helpful tutorial.

    Thanks, very easy to understand. Maybe one day Korg will update the interface to this century.

      RobertWerden Just learn the interface. You’ll never get a professional tool with this depth with an interface as simple as an iPhone. Even if they make it look prettier, the depth will still be there.

    Nice video, is there a way to have multiple drum patterns and make them change using any of the switches on the kronos, kind of like karma scenes without setting up RPPR on the keys?

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  4 года назад

      Yes just set a Karma drum pattern and create multiple scenes.

      @@narfsounds can these be custom drum patterns with my own samples?

    Very well explained. Great video.
    Question: what if i wanted to have more than one pattern with fill-in and stuff? And more importantly being able to control when the normal pattern should play and when the Fill-in should play?

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  3 года назад +1

      You can only playback one pattern at a time using the drum track when you're in program or combi so its not possible to call in a fill. It will have to be built in to the pattern itself.

      @@narfsounds thanks Fran. That is actually what i meant, sorry if i did not explaine it well. So lets say i have 3 patterns and i wanna be able to play for example: 4 measures of pattern 1, 4 measures of pattern 2 and 1 measure of pattern 3. How do i go about this once i extract these patterns as a drum track?

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  3 года назад +1

      They can’t coexist in the same program as a program or Combi can only have one pattern at a time. Sequencer using RPPR would be the way to go.

    Is it possible to program different drum patterns for different sections of the song? And possible control that spontaneously?

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  3 года назад

      Yes, using RPPR not drum track in program or combi mode.

    Hi Francis. How long can 1 user pattern be? Could you use the entire drum track as one long continuous pattern, played once and assign that user pattern to your drum track pattern in your patch or combi?

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  4 года назад

      I don’t know the exact length but in RPPR mode pattern parameter in the dropdown menu, you can determine the length of a pattern. You can find out how many measures it will allow you to create a pattern from.
