After The sudden loss of Quagmire, the Guys decide to stay low after Voracity. They have enough supplies for maybe 1 - 2 months. Then, about 2 months after Voracity, when Winter is already starting, The Guys get woken up by Stewie crying in the middle if the night. Turns out his gunshot wound from Ambush has gotten an infection so Joe and Brian decide to look for medication and maybe grab some supplies on the way back. As they enter the pharmacy, everything seems normal at first, but then, after knocking something off the shelve on accident, they awaken the corpse of what was once Mort. Although Joe got Semi-Infected and fought it off later in the battle, the Darkness is still spreading in his body. After defeating Mort in a gun fight, the 2 grab the medication and get the hell out if there. Then, about 3 weeks after these events, our Chapter 2 story starts.
