*Twilight Sparkle experiences sleep paralysis*
Turns out to be in a coma of sorts
oh... so twilight thinks she's awoken and just cant sleep, but she's actually *still* asleep days later? that's scary! anyways, i lucid dream a lot, and whenever i try to tell the dream people that im in a dream, they always get violent and it turns into a nightmare. so yeah... even dreams in our real world are a strange and mysterious thing :3
Yeah I think thats whats supposed to have happened? Though ngl the ending wasnt very satisfying in my opinion. Like she just gets to be in a coma where it seems she can control everything now? It wouldve been better if it was implied that she felt she was still in danger in her false waking life too.
When I tell people that in a dream they either agree, or laugh at me, and then I control the dream world as I wish until my lucidity ebbs.
Not Entirely related but had a dream recently where the moment my mind started to wonder if something was off things took a nose dive into a nightmare that had me sitting up half the night calming myself

Did anyone else notice how the fake Luna and real Luna reference themselves? The fake Luna would say ‘We’ when referring to herself , while in her letter to Celestia , the real Luna referred to herself as ‘I’.
Sounds like sleep paralysis, where your body is asleep but your brain is awake, and you may feel pressure on your chest because you naturally take lighter breaths as you sleep.
Wait, luna said she wasn't there for the begining of the experiment....if it wasn't her, who was left in the room with spike and twilight's unconscious body?
16:07 so, is this why Luna went insane? She had no one to help her with her nightmares? If so, that’s kind of a slap in the face

I love the horrifying premise of the entire thing, but in the thumbnail, it looks like twilight just took the forbidden blunt

It sounds like *something* was able to either take Luna's form, or manipulated Twilight and Spike's perception so they saw this false Luna
This entity then used this false form to deceive Twilight, when she disregarded the risk of the situation and willingly opened herself up to 'Luna's' influence, she was trapped in some kind of psionic hellscape, a false reality within her own mind to harbour her consciousness
This entity is so malicious and powerful, that Luna herself is unable to properly connect with Twilight's mind, it's like her mind has been overshadowed or some kind of dark power has cloaked it
Kinda like something is vibrating in a way to perfectly replicate another vibration, this entity is replicating Twilight's mind and hiding it from Luna
Perhaps the combined power of Sun and Moon can be enough?
And this is why you don't mess with dreams
I keep forgetting what is this fanfic and I listened to this multiple times- like twilight goes to sleep and has a nightmare? I am so confused 😭
It was a sleep experiment Twilight did.
So in a sense in the land of “EQUESTIA”
nightmares “NEVER” happen as long as “LUNA” is “THERE”….
but if she is “NOT” the chances of a “NIGHTMARE” go up 10 FOLD!!!!!!

That ending confused me a bit the best I got was twilight started the experiment without Luna and got trapped in a coma dream where she is now dreaming of the experiment with Luna there so kinda a dream within a dream sorta thing I believe

I'm a little confused why you have two very different voices for Luna here.
To quote the author “The "Luna" present during her experiments wasn't really Princess Luna”
Sungbug's voice for Luna is adorable but Moonuna sounds closer to the show, if I could choose a group of voices I would have Snugbug do her actual voice and have Moonuna do it when she yells then I would have Lizproductions do the Nightmare moon voice.
