Excellent, thanks James for the 3 different audio call tests, my mixcast 4 just arrived looking forward to guests on my podcast via this method. In the pasted I used Skype etc.
Hey James. I really like the improved sound quality of the phone call. However, if I had a caller on my show, and I would introduce them as a caller, I would want to keep some of that "phone call" sound to add some authenticity to the call.
Thanks for your feedback. I may produce more videos with this unit in future. Keep your eyes on the channel and subscribe for latest updates @ jamesm.com/
Surprised at how well it sounds through bluetooth WITHOUT any processing! I was hoping to see if the other inputs are also sent to the phone, as well as using pads.
Since the cable connect and Bluetooth are on separate faders, does that mean you could have two calls connected, providing you have two phones, one connected via Bluetooth and one via TRRS cable?
After updating the device's firmwear, it no longer sends audio via Bluetooth but only receives it from phone. Are there any settings that need to be changed?
1 question tho, to someone who doesn't have digital camera or laptop, can i use it using an android phone directly to record video contents? Thanks for the answer
Hello, friend am in love with the Tascam mixcast 4. but I can't get it delivered in Kenya. in my country, if I get it I will be the number one person using it in my podcast Big M Money, which its coming out soon. help out
thanks can i send the voice from the phone to a speakers if im doing a program in a studio with lot of guests and dont have the option to give each guest a headphones ..so i need all of the guests to hear the calls from a speaker ?
It is clearly the best podcast recorder available in the market. Yes, it is the newest one but the gain allows you to use the SM7B directly and the quality of the calls via Bluetooth is wonderful. This is already the firmware update they release and they keep improving on it. My only complaint is how slow the transfer of data is over USB. It is USB 3, it should be faster...
@@lionellegry4940 It’s actually not USB3. Despite using a USB type C connection, it’s USB 2 with a maximum speed of 480Mbps - that said, it still should be much faster than it is.
Bluetooth will always have a lag, he’s also got a bad room and bad reception at his end. The process on the sm7b has a fault or bad setting too. Was he on speaker at his end? Could try a wifi phone call and get a better quality signal.. you’d get a better sound from an actual broadcast mixer since you have such a big platform. Ironic that the first audio sounded better from holding the phone by the mic than his phone call. I’m guessing you’ve worked out the faults. I’d delete the video and do an update.
Exceptionally good video, thanks for the demonstration

Is there an adapter for the android if so where can we get one
Thinking about getting it for my live stream cuz its 200 USD cheaper at the moment than getting the Rodecaster.
