Seeing this video, I understand why it worked in terms of views, but also why it didn't work. And it is amazing to see how you figured it out so soon and 10x your views after this video. It must have been because of the comments. All Europeans wants to see the trucks they are familiar with being jugded by Americans in the US, they don't want to see a very old Scania being converted and dragraced, made into something different. I love to see how you have adapted to that since this video. You found gold and you even knew how to mine it quickly. I am impressed.
Understood that restoration was going to happen to this one! It appears that it is not. Each to their own, but it makes distressing viewing for me to see the old girl treated like that.
Yeah, making it street legal and drive it around is way more interesting, that and the drag. I've never understood the appeal of burnouts. Good efforts on the video, a good vide, really enjoyed the dragstrip!
Don’t be frustrated bro just finishing the truck and getting it down to the freedom factory running is a huge accomplishment you made it to the event with a running truck and it spun the tires how were you supposed to know the clutch was on its way out 🤷🏻♂️ next time will be far better with the knowledge you have now ! Keep on doing great work Bruce ! Happy thanksgiving 🦃 from my family to yours !
3 lights behind the cab, R W B, Would looks so cool lighting up the smoke.. That and a tonne of LED strobe beakons. You gotta try what you have to find out what works. Next time will either be better or find the next flaw in the setup.. Try try again.
Hi Bruce, I live in Ireland right beside a Scania garage I see Scania trucks 770s every day of the week I can’t believe what you’re doing to the old truck you should have done it up and show it off .if you think born off the Tyres is fun I just don’t know what to say
Still was fun to watch. Thanks for the hard work getting the truck done. I think once you get the clutch changed. Its going to burn the tires right off. Congratulations Ryan on the baby.
Hi Bruce I live in Denmark myself but I have seen many of them they can get really crazy but you just have to make a double out clutch and play max and your clutch should hold up to the pressure ;)
Hey, it's all good! Actually I liked the drag footage better than being just another burnout queen anyway!! 19.5 in the quarter for an iron barndoor isn't too shabby! That's a lot of frontal area to be pushing through the wind, so I'd say pretty well done! If you get a better clutch in it, you might try the drag race again, and maybe rake it through 4 speeds instead of 3. It seems it was lugging through that second shift quite a bit.😄😉👍👍
It's not the destination, it's the journey. Even though you said it was a bust, I'm willing to bet most of the people watching and subscribing were into it for the ride. Figuring shit out , doing stuff, that's what most people are here for. I mean if this was easy everyone would be doing it.
I cant believe you actually kept that eyesore of an exhaust system on the poor truck, and then welded a bunch of scrap on it aswell... #ripgoodscanialooks
Main thing Bruce is you had fun !! And it was still a cool video, you all worked hard to get'er done !! And now you can go crazy with it and come back even better !! Keep up the great work !!
There is a fitting in the lower water pipe, between radiator and crankshaft pulley, fill the water system from there, and voila, no problems.Easy and fast.
When there is a fire in the engine compartement of a car you have to pop the hood so that it cracks open just a little bit. Then you can spray extinguisher stuff through the crack and reach what is burning
Bruce do you have semi truck racing in America? If you don't you should check it out online they are insane, top speed not so much, but acceleration is the thing with them. I'm gonna upset a lot of people with my next comment. I drove a DAF CF for years for a haulage company here in the UK, it was a manual like your Scania, but a day cab type. I loved it so much and missed it when the company change over to rubbish auto DAF CF's. I remember regular smoking sports cars off the line... Well until it hit the limiter that is. Big rigs are awesome. Great videos.
Great video. Really great content. I enjoyed it so much. I worked at a Scania dealer for ten years. When I started as a mechanic that model was the new thing, and so the engine with 530hp. I remember the chauffeurs really taking care of their pride and joy. Then seeing you rip another a-hole in it was hilarious 😂😂
Awsome content, little bummed i didnt get to see the build as it happend didnt get the updates in the feed, but never the less i binged 3 episodes here:D CAUTION! you need to push the water/coolant in from below(special tools required) otherwise youre gonna get a nasty airpocket in the engine that wont go away until you do. Also nice to see you took the advice frow way before or maybe figured it out yourself to run low 4th into low 6th into high 6th on the dragstrip :D Last words, as cool as the ratrodlook is, to get the real deal out of the sound you need load on the truck, maybe get 5th wheel on there again and do some fully loaded semi dragracing? If you want some inspiration for when/if lengthening the frame check out some swedish construction/gravel semis they are like 4meters wheelbase(13-15feet) and 99% run tandem axels. Keep up the good work
I didn't expect that truck to get under 20 in the 1/4 that's awesome. Lose a little weight, new clutch and maybe a gear change and you might be able to get high 18's. Just curious did they give you a time slip that shows 60 foot times?
Hey at least u showed up with a burnout truck, unlike always talking Timmy Gentry. He’s so full of crap, good video, wish the truck held up longer. Maybe next time, keep building!!
I think making it a drag truck would be a amazing idea! Only drag truck on RUclips pal! And don't worry I really enjoyed this video even if things didn't go to plan it was still really entertaining Bruce think you for the content
Take care be safe 🙏 hey brother you never fail if you give it you're 110 percent and i believe you did so wasnt a fail it was a learning experience for next time 😁. Giod nite yall
even elon musk had problems with his hardware this week "starship" you put a lot of hard work in ya did good next time will be even better! I wonder if they make a super heavy duty clutch for those scanias?

I have repaired hundreds of clutches in Scania. It's not difficult, but there are many different models and they have their own quirks
I am lucky to be French because Scania trucks are not destroyed, just restored to perfection
Mdr 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Understood that restoration was going to happen to this one! It appears that it is not. Each to their own, but it makes distressing viewing for me to see the old girl treated like that.

You should of restored that scania to its real glory , that mad max look is just .... bad.
You can build your own how ever you want, this was not built for you 😆
should have*
I could cry for this poor Scania
I had really hoped they'd just restore it and make it really decent.
@@BiIboSwaggins absolutely.... the frame was still good enough but he ruined it...
@@BiIboSwaggins Jesus that's depressing seein' what they done to it.
Cry about it, it's just a semi truck
@@mergat2970 Might be for you, for us it is the reason to live

That was not a fail. I just found this channel. First time watching. That was awesome.
Looked great going down the track.
Thanks for posting, Bruce.
Good to see you back, Ryan.
Congratulations
Still was fun to watch. Thanks for the hard work getting the truck done. I think once you get the clutch changed. Its going to burn the tires right off. Congratulations Ryan on the baby.
Good morning, Mr. Wilson. I am a fan of Scania trucks. It is a wonderful truck ❤
As an European trucker im watching this whole video with a big smile. Great content!
Congratulations on the baby Ryan.
Hi Bruce I live in Denmark myself but I have seen many of them they can get really crazy but you just have to make a double out clutch and play max and your clutch should hold up to the pressure ;)
Can't believe you're already closing in on 1m subs Bruce. It's been cool to see the rollercoaster.
Say brother you gave it your best shot it is what it is man you'll get you'll get there just got to take it little by little.
That poor poor scania!😂😂😂❤
Hopefully you will still restore this Scania

how to destroy video in 5 seconds . "Put most important moment to start of video "
I just want to emphasize that Scania has one of the best old school European airhorns💪🏽
You should go get an Old truck from like the 50s early 60s Shortened up transport truck for bringing out track that would be dope
Wow she went faster in the 1/4 than I expected 😂😂
Its a scania with a damn V8 in it!!!🔥🔥🔥
Our cascadia will stomp it in a quarter mile
It's a Scania V8 there made to pull hard
@@AP_Autobahndeja de fumar maría. Si son del mismo año y de la misma potencia gana Scania sobradamente a cualquier camión .
im from the uk and have been really enjoying the Scania videos and i wish the best of luck with the content and im looking forward for future content.

If you don't fail, you're not trying. Good job 👍
Cool to see a 1940s style truck hauling a 1990’s Scania

put a pully on the turbo and make it spin while tires are turning, awsome job
17:30 - here the fire blanket developped for electric car fires would be a great tool!
That tech inspection looked more painful than a dot inspection
Omg that fire!!! 🔥 yall be careful!!

At least it still sounds great💪
Straight pipe Scania V8 always sounds great. Living in Norway it's a common sound on the highway.

The drag racing was cool
3:31 it says ylivoimala on the side of the truck which means nuclear power plant in finnish
Wasn't a failure Bruce ya did great
I loved the fact that you gave it a go l can't say it was all that bad, it was cool.
epic debut nonetheless that thing just looks amazing
