The parents of the boy who held the steering wheel of the school bus after the driver had a heart attack hearing the other children yelling would be proud that he listened to Jon Baker's advice to hold the wheel and to stay above the white line in the street until Jon got inside later and stopped the bus from crashing into another vehicle.
It takes a lot of courage for someone to get on top of a runaway school bus to save the children in there after the bus driver got a heart attack while driving the bus.
This is funny. The bus traveled past swan pl and under the sunset blvd bridge where Officer Baker jumped onto the bus and when the bus stopped it stopped at swan pl.
Love ❤ Chips.I know almost every single episode by heart!! One think I always wondered was ,how they spend so much time in residential zones?? I know hanging around a freeway all day can be boring 😴, but ,always wondered where the LAPD were while all this was going on!! Back in the day, they would revoke those rowdy juveniles bus 🚌 pass, and ,they would not be able to ride the again.TOUGH ------ ,!! If the bus driver survives, he could file a lawsuit against the bus company, and, would be able to get substantial compensation also. But. judging by his condition, one would suspect THAT HE IS A GONER!!!
I like this scene....but I think Jon could've just told the kid - "Hey, have one of the other kids press on the break / get the skateboard off the gas pedal"....but he sure was lucky that school bus had some random large luggage rack on top! ;-) Oh and Jon....maybe don't stop doing CPR until the paramedics show up....just a thought. ;-)
U don't see Larry Wilcox face as he is jumping on to the bus which proves it's a stunt man doing the stunt, And u only see Larry's face b4 & after the stunt is done
Wow the kids were calm during the ordeal. Great job on this clip. 👍🏽
0:51 What a landing!
Love CHiPs.
😃👍 CHiPs to the rescue ... *_!_*
Always gotta root for Ponch and Jon.

He prays to God alot.
The bus is a 1973-79 Ford/Ward.
I vaguely remember Ford school buses when I was in 1st grade in 1984. The had these weird padded bars at the front near wear the driver sat.
The kid was brave and had good steering on the run away school bus
VERY. BRAVE. JON. GOOD JOB.😕😕😕
Los Angeles : quem te viu , quem te vê ....
good job boi!
“Just hang in there partner!”

That stuntman twisted his right knee. That bus was moving slow enough for me to catch up to it on foot when it started up that hill
It's the best take they had, the first 6 he jumped to late and hit the concrete. The 7th he jumped to early and got hit by the bus.

Sliver lake lots of old bridges love this area of LA
Boy it’s lucky they were working on that spot over the roadway on that particular day!
What exactly were they doing
And boy it's lucky a doctor with a old school medical bag just so happen to be in the crowd when they bus stopped.
Annlize❤❤❤❤
Awesome.
I got a kick out of the fake crying when the kids sat there
What can go wrong with disco music? Everything is ok.but first the kid says "I pray a lot" and that's the answer to all our problems or troubles

The bridges in california are beautiful compared to many other states. New current ones and old ones.
~ Yes they are ... 👌
The kid holding the steering wheel had an underjam diaper on. Lol!
~😮 "❗"
People how this police need May city
Don't see to many school buses with a platform on top

1:40 Wow, jeans were tight back then
Who was Larry Wilcoxs stuntman on chips??

I was thinking the same thing!

Do you have any pictures of the bus, then and now?
I’m joking, love your videos! Huge CHIPS fan!
교통이 못하는게 없네..~^^
“I prayed to God a lot!”
That was actually Larry climbing into the window, but probably not jumping onto the bus. I wonder if that was Larry’s real life son?
Silverlake hasn't changed a bit. It was a dump then and it's still a dump.
Sunset & Parkman. Would be good if you would show the street names in your videos.

Yes, most likely that was a stuntman but Larry did alot of his own stunts on the show.
looks the same mostly
That's what I love about Silverlake, most of it is still the same.
L.A. hasn't change Much, Has it?
They showed the same shot when Jon was in mid air twice.
Faty
Ant it's STILL a corny, crappy show.
