Looking forward to having your refreshing outlook and energy in Washington Caroline! Thank you is all I have for your stepping up, taking the reigns and kicking butt on politics!

Great interview! Seeing a different side of Caroline and her passion is wonderful. While there are many issues in the world and the US. I'd challenge the US to become less arms dealer and focus those billions and billions of dollars on the people, certainly in our country, and across the world who are affected by lack of clean water, healthy food and quality healthcare. There are so many counties, cities and towns where people could be helped where we instead focus so much on worldwide war and domination. Pitiful.

Excellent interview. I've been aware of her for a while. Total stud. And I love where her head is on issues I personally find important. But there's a reality at play. She's running for Senator. With no political experience. Not a school board, mayor, county seat or Congressperson. Senator. She hasn't even run a company. Advocacy is one thing but the machinations of governance is a completely different animal.
The "citizen politician" looks good on paper but she didn't roll out of bed and climb Everest. We walk before we run. Legislators most often have legal backgrounds for a reason. Because that's the job. They're called lawmakers.
So I guess I don't understand why someone, anyone, would think they can walk in to an entirely different profession, with no experience, and head right to the top. So her hurdle is clear. Why would voters not think that this is nothing more than a move to raise a personal brand? She's going need to lean in to that and have a very concise response. ESPECIALLY as a female, non-Mormon Democrat in Utah pushing for gender and racial equality. Because no matter how much I agree with her I know enough to not hire an electrician to fix the plumbing. Hope she does well and raises awareness. But even more importantly, I hope she's doing this for the right reasons.

Has anyone asked her why didn’t she run for state office first?

49:40 She is right and wrong at the same time. The Jordan river has NEVER been an EPA superfund site. The Great Salt Lake lakebed has had arsenic, heavy metals, and mercery have been the Great Salt Lake and its lakebed sense the end of the Ice Age. The shrinking of the Great Salt Lake is a major problem and as an elected officer in the Utah Republican Party I can tell you that she is 100% on not growing alfalfa in Utah, but recycling wase water that should be going into the Great Salt Lake is a waste of resources.

58:46 How can she love the animals and environment so much but insist that mothers have the right to kill their babies?
