    I remember the first ones in uk built to price they don’t take a lot of damage and life expectancy not great but that’s with everything now

    Those are interesting for Otis gen 2’s I never seen a switch to drive the lift from cabinet inspection it’s always buttons.

      @@High-Rise I’ve seen it one other time - Debenhams in Liverpool had a really good glass Gen2, with fast acceleration - sadly when they closed the shop was turned into a Marks & Spencer’s who removed these.

    I think 2.5m/s isn't accurate because the travel took a little bit more than 20 seconds from floor zero to floor 12. If it's really 2.5m/s the travel time has to be less than 20 seconds.

      It all depends on the distance between floors and in that building ground to 1 is a large gap, aswell as all the other floors which have around a 2 foot gap.
