Back in the 70’s as a kid I remember logging was a way of life for so many people. It still may be today but the system has changed from yesteryear. Union Camp in Chapman Alabama was the recipient of a lot of logs back then.
Cat 518's are absolutely great skidders from 1973-1995. I had 2 short frame cat 518's and they were 1982's which were the first year of the square cabs. The 3rd was a 1992. 518 series-2 long frame. Great skidders
