This software is amazing and saves me a lot of time scheduling classes. Thank you for the tutorial. But, I'm having difficulty in adding rooms, I have already added 15 rooms but FET does not allocate the rooms to the classes. How do I solve that?
Thank you for appreciation. For setting Rooms to a specific Teacher, or to a specific subject or to a specific group of students, you have to go to space tab. There you can set Rooms.

go to time, click activities, select prefered times, click an activity has a set of prefered starting times. There you go. Select the prefered times for a specific class and subject

unfortunately its not possible to directly upload data in excel format. However you can import data from CSV text file, which is again just like a excel file. However its a bit different from xlsx format. In FET tool go to file, then import and import your csv file.

So if I have some really complex timetable and this programme got stuck does it necessarily means that desired timetable is not possible to be made or there is a chance that a human that is really intelligent can make that desired timetable. FETtoExcelExporter is a program that allows you to convert the teacher.xml file generated by FET into an Excel workbook. Various executable versions are available for Windows and Mac.
I liked your video but how can I handle time splits. Example: My school has AP Classes which are 80 min and regular classes which are 50 min. So, we might have a class from 8:00-8:50 and also a class from 7:30-8:50. I couldn't figure out a way to handle that. Is it possible? Otherwise it looks good. I do have suggestions for improvement. What if you could figure out how many 8th grade classes of English we will need depending on enrollment, etc. You don't offer that right now. It seems you have to know everything up front, but that is not always the case.
Create Your first class from 7:30 to 8:00 and second class from 8:00 to 8:50. Then the class you want to be from 7:30 to 8:50 will be comprised first two classes.
@@chippagirimohan It has a very nice manual included with it. My tutorial is very basic. There are lots of things in it. You can create the most complex timetable in it, which is most of the time humanly impossible, for example you have limited rooms, limited teachers, and lots of strudents with lots of programs, semesters an years etc.

Remember, this is a very basic tutorial for making the easiest timetable. There are lots of fine tuning in this software which can help you create the world's toughest timetables. For that you have to read its manual also.

U can use a cross at those timings for specific groups. Watch the video again and see how to use a cross

Of course you can. You need to understand it's options. Read it's documentation and watch some videos. Also u need to practice

You can add hours/periods duration 10 min or 5 min. Then you can easily make your timetable.
