Why should I recycle? | Hubbub campaigns

We're eating and drinking more and more food and drink on the go. Every year in the UK we get through 13 billion plastic bottles, 9 billion drinks cans, 3 billion coffee cups. That's a whole lot of packaging!
IN LEEDS
As part of the Leeds By Example campaign, we’ve introduced bright new bins, bold messaging and trialled new technology to boost the recycling of food and drink packaging. So far this has helped almost double recycling in Leeds City Centre.
But why should we recycle? Let these packaging characters talk you through it! Help a can become a can again and again and a coffee cup get turned into high quality stationary.
RECYCLE ON THE GO WHEREVER YOU ARE
What can be recycled on-the-go can vary from place to place, so it's worth checking what's collected in your area. A good rule of thumb is that plastic bottles and drinks cans are easily recycled widely in the UK. Coffee cups can be recycled but need their own bins; you can take any cup regardless of where you bought it, into any Costa, Starbucks or McDonald's store. Leeds By Example is a campaign in Leeds City Centre to boost the recycling of food and drinks packaging. It has been created by Hubbub with the support of Starbucks, Ecosurety, Asda, Bunzl, Caffè Nero, Coca-Cola GB, Costa Coffee, Danone, Highland Spring Group, Innocent Group, Lucozade Ribena Suntory, Marks & Spencer, McDonald’s, Nestlé, Pret a Manger and Shell. Local partners include Leeds City Council, Zero Waste Leeds and local businesses and organisations.

Recycling ♻️ is very important I because it saves the environment. I visit the recycling ♻️ centre in Ilfracombe, north Devon at various times ✖️ on various days to get rid of them very quickly so the courtyard looks neat and tidy. 👍
