I also reached this fandom now in 2023. I can't get over this incredible story (it's the third times I watch the drama). Wei Wuxian is the best main character ever.
It's also late for me when I watched Untamed. 2019 when it was at its first few episodes, a lot of my friends were already into it but I don't know what made me miss it. I started getting hook March of 2023. Just like you I watched everything about it. And it makes me happy to finally watch it but also sad that I already finished it. Now I know why they said it's hard to move on from all of this.
Funny thing is i finished the 50 episodes for the second time 2 days ago and now im back from episode 3......i need to get used to it so that atleast i can minimize this abnormal thrust i have for this drama..... Or else I'll go crazy
its funny because even though there is HEAVY censorship, you can clearly see the chemistry between the two characters. although Wang Yibo didn't have as many lines as Xiao Zhan, his facial expressions are brilliant in telling how Lan WangJi actually feels towards Wei WuXian
I've been told this was the absolute maximum they could get away with. I would've loved to have seen more physical interaction between the characters, but the fact that this was made in China and also made it OUT of China is amazing in and of itself.

I remember it clearly that after finishing the whole series, I downloaded this song and the whole soundtrack and played it almost every night. Until my mom was so done with it and ask me if I fully understand the lyrics, and I was like" Not really". ended up my mom watched the whole series for 3 days and ask me to play this song when she's looking for relaxation.

The chemistry between these two will never be repeated in our lifetime. This drama was tops in everything: costuming, sets, scenery, storyline, production crew, director, producer, actors, actresses. I've never seen another drama even come close to this one. It's been 5 years since I first watched it and I am still obsessed with it and the music. Most gorgeous OST ever! I remember it clearly that after finishing the whole series, I downloaded this song and the whole soundtrack and played it almost every night. Until my mom was so done with it and ask me if I fully understand the lyrics, and I was like" Not really". ended up my mom watched the whole series for 3 days and ask me to play this song when she's looking for relaxation.

The first word in the drama was "Lan Zhan", the last word was "Wei Ying".
Lan Zhan's song "Indelibility" at 0:53 and Wei Ying's song "The ending melody of ChenQing" at 1:36 have the same melody.
Wei Ying's clothes at the end of the drama, when he play their song with his flute at the moutain and Lan Zhan called him, named "Yun Qu Gui Lai" (pls correct me if I wrote it wrong) - "No matter how far you go, you still comeback". (I got this information from The Untamed's photobook)
But the line of the first episode is "Wei Wuxian is dead"

The character lan Zhan was not easy to portrait . For an actor it is easy to portray an emotion but portraying being emotionless is really notan easy task and he isso young than also he seriously forget about himself and emerge in the character very well in the whole series we can only see lan Zhan their are not even a single trace of yibo this is what only some actors can do in such a young age he is a true talent not only in acting but in singing and dancing too heis in one word legend .I truly admire him as an person with great talent though I don't have any experience in acting but as an audience I can feel his sincerity towards his word . I hope he will give us more of his great works to watch .
And our forever young actor Xiao Zhan (Sean) he is truly commendable .The character Wei Ying was seriously very complex cause it has so many emotions to portray (opposite to lan Zhan )he has to be a naughty yet serious person at the same time he truly emerged in his role we can see his sincerity towards the character too as an historical character it has some pros and cons of it's own but he unbiasedly portray both the side he let us realise that not everyone who is demonic cultivator is evil he did many things but they have their own reasons he let us understand Wei Ying very well . I am not a great fan of his but with this he truly win me .I can watch this nth time but every time he will move me to tears. I'm sure about that .I rarely cry in my real life , let alone on drama but he is the first character who let my tears stream uncontrollably . He is truly an artist and know how to win over even the thoughest person . I hope he will give me more things i wanna watch for nth time
