Tony the Tiger is a steroid pumping super tiger. Hobbes is a stuffed animal except when alone with Calvin, at which point he becomes a highly intelligent tiger. He is both real and not real at the same time(even the author admitted this). In a death match Hobbes could never really die as Tony would be incapable of perceiving, and thus actualizing, the real hobbes.
I think a better use of that slot would be to show us something that got cut, so something funny that happened while they were still setting up or something?
