    I am so glad, that i chose the Lelit Bianca! My wife was sceptical at first, but now she keeps asking me to make her coffee all the time. Whenever we have guests, they all want me to make them coffee every 10 minutes. That might be the only downside to the Lelit Bianca, people get addicted to it!

    Very thorough review. The Bianca was one of the finalists in my home espresso search, exactly because of its unmatched features that you highlighted at this price point. In the end I ended up going with the Lucca M58 mainly because of the 3 yr parts and labor warranty and the aesthetics which appealed more to me personally. The biggest trade-off which I had to make was passing on the flow control feature which I have heard is best in class on the Bianca as compared to other ones that have since become available for e61 machines. I am very happy with my choice and some day I may explore adding flow control to my setup. For now, I look forward to your videos on this feature and how it might enhance espresso in the cup. Great review, and beautiful machine. I have an Expobar Brewtus; a lot of similar features, but no PID for the steam boiler, no real programming other than temperature. And it didn't come with flow profiling or a naked portafilter. I installed a flow control device; works well, but not as pretty as that walnut paddle.

    Hello Kyle! Happy new year, wishing you all the best! I have a question regards Bianca, and i'm really looking forward to your thoughts. I have Lelit Bianca aswell, I've swiched my steaming wand's tip from 2 holes to 4, i've been practising now for 3 months, but no matter what I do or what milk I choose, i see big difference in my steamed milk - with 2 holes its micro foam, i cant see any bubbles, where's with 4 holes i cant reach that same micro foam level, its not bad, dont get me wrong, but bubbles are visible and its driving me nuts. My steam temp. is set to 125 C /257 F. Have you noticed any difference like that? What is your steaming temp? Thank you in advance, greetings from Europe!

    Just took delivery on this. I agree that auto on should have been a feature. I also believe a configurable 20 amp capability would be desirable so appropriately wired installations would allow for simultaneous heating of both boilers.
    That said, a big selling point for me on this product was the fact that it comes with a modular power cord that plugs into the back of the machine rather than being hard wired to it. My unit is positioned right next to my power outlet so I don’t need or want a 4 foot cord that I have to coil behind the machine. I can easily use an 18 or even a 12 inch cord to eliminate the kitchen clutter or, if I ever move it to a new location, I can easily replace it with a longer cord for that installation.
    Well done Lelit, almost perfectly done.

    Great review! Love this machine. I would disagree with the last point on the timer-on built in feature. At the moment, I'm using a smart plug to do that and that gave me a lot more flexibility, such as able to remotely turn on the machine using my mobile phone. I would not be able to turn on the machine using my phone with the timer-on feature built into the machine. Totally agree on the drip tray, although it was probably more practical than aesthetic. Nonetheless, I believe this is the best Home espresso machine on the market, especially for its features and price point! Thank you Brew At Home for this great video!

My Gaggia Classic Pro has spring on-off switch due to EU regulations so I had to change it in order to use smart plug. I believe in Bianca's case that is not an issue due to stand by function.

I use a TP Link Kasa wifi power plug... Now I can program the time for each day when Bianca has to switch on or off and I can switch it on manually by phone when I on the way back from Airport or work and want a cofe wheen I'm back home. Using the TP link I can control this machine via internet. Omg that's so great. And it is not more than 15 bugs.

    • @KyleRowsell
      @KyleRowsell  3 года назад +2

      Great question. The short answer is no. As the Bianca is still not cheep. But Lelit is a newer brand in espresso and while they’re making quality machines, you’re saving on the name of the brand. Now not to say they don’t design differently than other manufactures like ECM and Profitec. Their sheet metal could be argued to be thinner.

      Hey Jasmin! Absolutely!
      To quickly summarize, the LM is a fantastic machine, but you’re paying for the name and a few commercial features. For home use, the Linea mini isn’t necessary but rather a nice luxury.
      That being said the Bianca is a fantastic machine for the price. It will pull a shot of the same quality to the Linea, but with the possibilities of flow profiling. This feature alone is worth going with the Bianca, in my opinion.

    Kyle, regarding your comment about the built-in timer that would enable an auto start-up when one is away or asleep, I tend to disagree if I am correct in my thinking. I could be wrong but with all the Smart Home products today by Apple, for example, wouldn’t it be possible to add the Lelit Bianca to a Smart Home device/electrical outlet to do the same thing as would a built-in timer? I don’t personally have one of these types of homes but from reading about them, it seems to be that this would be possible. I would enjoy comments from you and anyone watching this great review you gave on this beautiful espresso machine. By the way, this is the #1 espresso machine with an E-61 group head I am considering purchasing sometime next year along with the possibility of a super-automatic Jura E-8 or S-8 machine. 05:10 onwards... You can achieve the same effect if you start your PID controlled E61 machine in steam mode. The much higher target temp allows the boiler to heat faster, because PID wont throttle at about 91° Celsius.(93° target temp). So my procedure for a fast late wake up morning coffee on a ECM Classika PID. 1. Switch on machine and select steam mode. 2. After 10 min the water in the boiler has about 106-110°. 3. Switch back to espresso mode and you are rdy to go. Of course this is a bit inpractical, but definitely works. To be totaly honest Im ok with a too cold first shot as Im always do at least two in the morning and Im also happy if the second is perfect and the first only does its job as a wakener:)

      Yep... love the Linea Mini but the Bianca won me over. Why? The paddle looking device on a La Marzocco Linea Mini is actually nothing more than the on /off switch for the pump. You have to move up to the to La Marzocco GS/3 (at almost 3 times the price of the Bianca) to get flow control. If you shopped around over the last year or so you'll see almost all major producers of machines e.g., ECM, Profitec, Rocket etc... now offer their machines with a flow control device or kit so you can retrofit one of their older models. Although these machines are now offered with flow control, the control is nothing more than an aftermarket add-on made available by the manufacturers so they can compete with the latest trend of flow control, whereas the Leit Binca (like the Slayer and GS/3) were designed and calibrated from the ground up as a true flow control machines. Granted, the Slayer and the GS/3 launched flow control, which is the latest and greatest advancement in espresso machine design... but their price is a little steep for the average home consumer.
      To really appreciate the advantage of flow control, check out this video: ruclips.net/video/AlKT1u-3lGU/видео.html

    • @eltonnoway7864
      @eltonnoway7864 3 года назад +1

      @@kadrav I was only attempting to help the OP with their Bianca vs Linea Mini dilemma. I never said the E61 couldn't be fitted with flow control in fact I said many manufacturers "now offer their machines with a flow control device "or kit" so you can retrofit one of their older models." That said you are 100% correct I failed to identify the Linea Mini has a saturated group head whereas the Leit does not. That said, while saturated groupheads have superior temperature stability they are also slightly more sensitive to overshoots, albeit a much smaller offset than an E61 group. The E61 group has a very large thermal mass which makes it less efficient and more prone to undershoot. Either way plenty of espresso experts have agreeded they can't taste a difference between the two. So its still tough hard to justify an additional $2500 for the Linea Mini over the Lelit except for the fact the Linea Mini is built like a tank and will work for decades whereas the Lelit is a lightweight with a still unknown life expectancy.

      @KyleRowsell  3 года назад +1

      Hey! My issue with the drip tray isn’t size but build quality. It uses thin stainless steel, and the grate isn’t as thoughtful in design compared to machines like the Profitec pro 700 or ECM Synchronika. It lacks the finish quality of those machines.

      I can assure you it will not bend. It’s still very high quality metal. The drip tray alone is not a reason to avoid the Bianca, it’s still better than many other machines that use plastic or cheep metal. I’m simply sharing my small critiques of the machine.

    Not for me I am afraid. I guess it depends on your priorities but Lelit machines feel very cheaply put together in my opinon. Lots of thin metal, sharp edges and poor finish on exposed welds. The internals layout is messy too. I know you get interesting features but they are built to a price rather than a standard and it shows.
