Thanks for this. I've been trying to get my head around modifying your circle routine to face the craft "head in" for video shots of a point of interest. John
Hello, how is the maximum range beeteen the transmitter FUTABA 8J and his receiver 2008 SB? AND HOW CONNECT 4 MOTORS WHEN WE THINK MAKE A QUADICOPTER ? THANK YOU TO ANSWER ME...
Thanks for the great tip. I've been trying to fly a smooth circle around an object for quite some time but failing due to the lack of piloting skills. :) This seems to be the solution. Couple of quick questions: what AIL and RUD settings do you use to ensure to quad makes a complete circle? Obviously, if the rates are off, the quad will be flying either in an inward spiral or outward spiral. And how do you adjust the rates to cater for circles of different diameters? Thanks. Apologies for the long winded comment.
Hey Carpe. Flight is much smoother with GPS position hold disabled. I'm not sure what settings will give your craft an exact circle as each craft is so unique, on mine it's RUD32% and AIL50%. You can adjust the DT5 or DT6 to increase the diameter, perhaps split AIL and RUD to use DT5 and DT6 independently if you need to fine tune the diameters in flight, or even create one switch for large circle, and one for small circle or opposite direction.
Crash Test Dummies Hello CTD, Thanks for the tip and the very quick reply. Guess you are right. Your settings should give me a good starting point and I can fine tune later. Good pointers with the switches. Just wish I had more of them on the 8J. :)
Dear friends. I have difficulty with the servos, they respond late. When entering power mode and then servo test work perfectly, but returning to the main menu reappears the problem. Can somebody help me?. Thank you very much

John
It works even smoother with the quad's GPS mode turned off.
Thank you CTD !!! Spot on.... sharing is the way to go, keep up the great work. Regards
Cheers for that, great tip
This is awesome! Could you do a video using the Futaba T14SG?
Thank you.

gimbal pan or rotate copter ?
the copter is rotated automatically by the radio, there's no gimbal attached to this one :)
