  • Yes you can use Co-edge and compensate together in Cypcut.
    It's just not clear in the on screen results but it is working.

    When measuring. Try clicking the corners. You can see the vertex sign pop up it means your cursor is in the corner edge of the rectangle or triangle

    en que casos se usa compensacion en los cortes

    • @fefeferrariff
      @fefeferrariff 2 года назад

      Se usa para ajustar las dimensiones del material cortado, ya que existe una pequeña seccion que se desprende en el corte que se llama KERF. En los casos que necesites ensablar piezas o realizar encastres es muy util.

    Why are you using compensation?

    • @smallshoplasers8785

      Compensation is used to adjust for the kerf of the laser, a laser cutter doesn't have much kerf but it does have some. Otherwise the parts end up slightly undersized and holes will be oversized.

      @@smallshoplasers8785 is it just for fiber laser? I have operated a co2 laser for 6 years and never was the details smaller or bigger. Maybe 0.010mm if the nozzle or centring was of.

      @@backstagehenrik1701 Normal compensation is .055mm on my machine.. Normal cut kerf is 0.11mm, the video is using much larger compensation to show that the compensation is not deleted by co-edging the parts after compensating them. As for your CO2 laser, it's likely the software is adding compensation for you, because there is no way your cut kerf is .01 mm.. We make a lot of parts that are laser welded, and fitment must be within 0.025mm for a good weld without filler, so using compensation is important to get accurate parts.

      @@smallshoplasers8785 maybe it has auto compensation, but now I operat a fiber from gweike with head from ipg and 4kw. But we have problem with all the details get about 0.50 on every direction, hole, square ore rectangle.
      If I use compensation in cypcut the machine f..kes up. Have som details ending up 2mm of. I think the machine ore program can't separate inner or outer contours and cuts in the middle of the line

      @@backstagehenrik1701 When you compensate you have to zoom in and look to see which way the compensation is going to, the white compensation line should be outside on outer lines, and inside on inner lines.. Use the "outer" and inner buttons to adjust the compensations.
