Himachal Pradesh Police band plays Himachali tunes

Himachal Pradesh Police band enthralls people at the annual Shimla Summer Festival. They play old Himachali tunes in front of Town Hall of Shimla.
Viewer Abhinav tells us: "WildFilmsIndia yes these tunes are mix of many of himachali song tunes and most of them are from chamba and kangra. One song tune which is there in the video is "chamba aar ki nadiya par aao laal rangi hai" at 3:18 (approx)"
This renowned event has been held regularly in Shimla since the 1960s and is a five day extravaganza. This Summer Festival consists of a huge association of men and women who gather and celebrate the advent of summer. They sing and dance in gratefulness to the glory of God. They offer thanks for the rich harvest and the golden crop and also requests God for a repetition of the same bliss on the following year.

Himachal is a state of numberous dialects and different cultures. They didn't sing the most of the songs of Kangra and Chamba. They covered almost all the famous or major dialects to cover the most of state's Himachal Pradesh. They have given all justice to cover the entire state with their songs. Like they started with Shimla hills songs.. Dhara mathe Lago kupdi mama, o ladi Shanta aadhi baju ri skibi, shuki dharo re goru ho aama meriye Nahin charde.. then they tuned toward Kangra and Chamba folk.
