My eylids are made from skin, hahaha!
Currently I am working on a skull that has eyeballs but no skin so no eyelids. I'm going to try to mimic the blinking by having the pupils squeeze flat or disappear briefly. I like your idea of making the lids with silicon since making them from baked clay makes them too thin and fragile.

Con nada, quedaban alli por forma. Puedes probar cera (taky wax) o vaselina , con la silicona es complicado

Maravilloso canal, me encantan tus vídeos. Gracias por mostrarnos tantos secretos. Estoy comenzando con la animación stop motion y el timming y la fluidez me llevan de cabeza. ¿Cómo consiguen movimientos tan fluidos, sutiles y naturales como en Purple and brown? Modificando cada puppet y recolocandolo da el problema de imperfecciones mínimas pero evidentes y por sustitución me sirve para movimientos poco más acentuados. Un abrazo.
pues lo hacen con mucho cuidado en los movimientos pequeños y con más gracia cuando se mueve rápido. Es cuestión de paciencia y sentido del ritmo.

I have a question. How long would would post production take for a stop motion short (say, 15-20 min)?. I know it varies a lot but I just want to have an overall idea.
Our last shortfilm that we just ended took 2-3 months for 7 minute animation. This means sound, music, voices, mixing, compositing, cleanup, color grade, lightmascs, and master DCP

Whoa it was longer than I expected
Hi, I 've almost watched your every video.. But I couldn't understand one important point: in generally animatic are used in all kinds of animation. Do you use animatic/sketch in Stopmotion to see exactly which frame and which movement? Or just you move characters little little(on average)?
Let me explain with an example: for example, blink animation should 1 second or 12/24frame. If I just move eyelid little little, maybe I will take less than 12/24 frame… because I don't use sketch/animatic for key frame.

Hi, animatic in stop motion is very important. We use it to see the rythm of the movie, if the scenes and the cuts work, etc. but not in order to describe every single thing that happens in a scene. For example a blink provably would be not shown in a animatic.

oooh, animatics are made with stills, they are even not animated, just the frame an very raw moves. It is a tool to talk with your team, plan, etc.

Hola Edu una consulta, cual es el mejor método para hacer parpadear al personaje pero en postproducción, es que hice toda la animación sin parpadear y me acordé después de terminar. Intenté con Photoshop pero no supe hacerlo sin estropear el video así que terminé metiendo el video a tv paint y lo hice ahí, y ahora terminé la grabación de un capítulo y estoy justo en la etapa de edición y no encuentro otro método, sabes de alguno que me puedas recomendar por favor.igual está súper bueno este método que recomiendas, lo pondré en práctica para los capítulos a futuro, gracias por compartir esta información 👍
Hola, yo he hecho la integración de nuestros trabajos y lo que hago es tomar fotos de esas partes, párpados o bocas o lo que sea insitu en el set con la luz correcta. Luego los puedes integrar con after effects si lo controlas, sino con photoshop va bien también. Como solo se trata de algunos frames y tienes el ojo de referencia deberías conseguirlo sin grandes problemas. Animó!
