988F Feeds Jaw Crusher With Granite Blocks

Today's Vlog is from this winter's archives where we began processing Granite Waste to supplement various projects with aggregates. Starting with blocks unusable for dimensional stone products, we initially sized them with a sure strike. In the next step we load them into our jaw crusher with a Caterpillar 988F where they are crushed into transportable sized material. We then load out the granite and transport it to our final processing location where it is crushed and washed to meet final spec.

they're a wild concept. essentially a weight attached to a tow strap

@@wdscepaniak I imagine the shrapnel from it is pretty dangerous? I know of an operation crushing large glacial till boulders all composed of hard granite up to and above 30,000 psi that uses a Surestrike on a Komatsu hoe (barf!) and they said it's broken loader mirrors up to 100 feet away.

Looks like that project is coming along nicely since I was last there over a year ago. Made enough room to finally get a jaw in there, much gooder.
