Have no idea why that sound puts me to sleep but been trying to go to sleep for 2hrs and within 5min of watching this its like i took a bottle of sleeping pills.....thanks
After all these months I just noticed that granite has to be one of the hardest rock material to crush and once it reaches the cone crusher it's pretty easy on the machine do I have that right? I like to see it when a wheel loader scoops up crushed granite and stockpile it or load the trucks.
Wow granite is hard to crush. Is the water for dust suppression? Maybe it lubes the jaws and reduces crushing efficiency, just a thought. How about spraying just below the jaws, would still stop the dust but jaw would crush better dry. Great video thanks
Awesome footage of blasted granite being crushed. I could watch this all day, do you have video footage of the results of the granite being stockpiled? How many tons were crushed per hour?? Keep up the good work
hypnotic. Just found these vids and find them compulsive viewing and calming. Do these machines ever got blocked ? How long have they been around, who invented them?
Too much water.nNo bite/grab on liners. Just need a little for dust and maybe underneath on belt. Have stood right there and fed old jaw lots of times. Plate feeder, not grizzly.
Granite is one hard Rock to crush it can sit in the crusher and bounce about for ages and other times will come out the crusher about 6 feet in the air it knocks a crusher to bits but it's the best crushed rock hard as a ehores heart and that sound there's nothing like it gets into your blood it's a job I love 12hr shifts fly by
More please. Love it
more on the way

glad we could help!
Brilliant video...👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Granite is very abrasive and wears away at the metal hoppers very aggressively when compared to gravel
Enjoy watching crushing machine breaking products down to different sizes.
More to come!
Choke feed this 48" jaw!
feed size was highly variable unfortunately

water is for dust, we have it spraying at multiple points along the product stream
This is like watching paint dry !!
But in a good way
Nice video. Next time show the 988H more. Thanks for posting.
Thanks, will do!
Looks like a real pita to crush, would reducing the water or eliminating it from the chamber allow more grip thus increased throughput?
We would have to try and see how it plays out. planning to fire back up in spring
@@wdscepaniak yeah water in the chamber at least in our experience increases wear and slippage. Water directly under the jaw maybe a better option
They could open up the bottom of the crusher to increase output depending on what secondary they have after the jaw crusher

Ill have to check if I have footage of that. production was in the 250tph range. we appreciate you Johhny!
Was this rock from a quarry cutting rock for stuff like tombstones? It does make for nice aggregate after especially for surfacing gravel driveways.
correct
What is the point of crushing rocks? What are they used for
crushed rock is the foundational material for all asphalt, concrete, etc. in order to build roads, bridges, buildings, & more, crushed rock is needed
@@wdscepaniak That's great, I love learning new things. Thanks!
@@supersabrosinho absolutely! thanks for checking out the channel
*_It's easy to miss how powerful this jaw crusher is... Guessing several hundred horsepower.._*
That jaw doesn’t look to be 500hp…. I’d guess 200 - the cone may be 400hp

Will do!

Eli Whitney Blake in 1851 patented the first jaw crusher. They do block occasionally. Glad you enjoy
Some bloke with a big hammer…..
That would be a tough job to price
Washing it at the end justifies a decent margin. somedays are much better than others
Crazy!
Very
That jaw is old!
And way to tight.
The rock is hopping instead of being crushed
trying to balance feed size for the secondary
You don't know what you're talking about.

Agreed, we had a few things out of adjustment
@@wdscepaniak Everybody starts at the beginning. NO problem!

😮
Problem water, slovvly crashing

That's to much water.. reduce it just a little bit
we agree
Too much water stopping crusher from having grip
Trying to find the balance to keep dust suppressed
@@wdscepaniak Misting systems like they use on patios in the desert? Cleaning the nozzles can be a pain if you don't use filtered water though.
@@DocNo27 yup. Sprayers need regular cleaning

granite is definitely nasty stuff
Those rocks have been around for millions of years and now they are just being crushed and used to warm the oceans and kill baby seals.
and build the roads you drive on and the buildings you live & work in
LOL that's funny.
Fire the loader man. He can't even fill the bucket up and the dam feeder bin was empty. No good.
Ok. Can you come show us how it’s done ?
