Great insight here, stumbled upon youre channel. Been fulltime for 4 years now in the beat game and still going. Love seeing this and others on the same path
i didn't sell more than 3 beats in 2 years so i went from posting beats to beatstars to trying to go the other way around, make my own album pick the artists I want to work with and approach music that way. We'll see how it play out but so far I just released my first album
@@thevidkoproductionsHey man I don’t understand the concept can you expand on that like how do you have more control and how does an album like that look
@@carlitosway5204you can checkout the album , it's called OPUS by TheVidko. i had total control, i co-wrote 3 songs, for others i handpicked artists and gave thhem guidelines on how I wanted the track to end up being. And if I didn't like what they did I just went for someone different

i think two key takeaways that he didnt expressly mention is that firstly he seems to have a really good business sense and secondly good people intuition, like why he sold low to that country artist
Bro i have a question. I got a type Beat Channel and my click rate is 10-25 percent. My Watchtime is also relatively good its like 40 to 1 minute. I also have good tags and keywords but my Impressions and views aren't going up. What could be the problem?
I think its a mistake not to listen to music. U have to know what's trending. But yet again u making a living off your beats. Congrats on all your success.
It’s actually a way better strategy but it comes with a huge catch, you have to already be a composer or know music theory. Like you either pick it up from what’s trending and you go backwards, or you do it the other way, which is the old fashioned way, which is learning how to perform music by itself. Obviously if you don’t already know what sounds good, then you have to learn from the people already doing it. It’s just two totally different paths to the same knowledge. You don’t have to listen to good music to write it, but you do have to play it in that situation.

As a top RUclips producer...I still can't sell beats. I couldn't sell water to a fish. This is driving me crazy!!
Sorry but that’s because your beats are either shit or your business skills are plain and simple, learn how to mix.
1:57 500 dollars for a beat? wow,, yeah probably price can go even higher, i just didn't realized how much potential making and selling beats can have
People sell exclusives for even 3000$
Wow
How did he figure out how to mix the beat to a professional standard from downloading it and what is social blade
Social blade shows youtube stats
