    6 months ago i was bulllish on investing in Crypto.
    i disregarded the opportunity i had to invest on the strength of encouragement of two friends who have already been trading for the last year. they said it would be a good idea when i had 15,000.00 i was looking to put that into something i could make a return on in a few years.
    this is exactly why i didnt. and im so glad i listened to my gut to not do so. i thought crypto was a losers fad 6 months ago, and its only been reinforced now.

      We’re in a normal crypto bear market and it goes on 4 yr cycles based on the Bitcoin halving. This whole FTX collapse was due to a fraudster in which the whole crypto community is glad he’s out and not due to crypto itself.       FTX customers weren't investors, they lost funds that they deposited on the platform, which could have been crypto or cash. They didn't lose money from investments, they lost access to their funds because FTX stole their deposits.

      Most have been such. Apart from Terra/Luna the recent big failings have been similar. Pyramid schemes and such existed before crypto.

      I think it's different. If somebody invested in a crypto coin or a stock that lost all of its value, that's one thing because you should know that's a possible outcome. Putting your deposits on an exchange where they guarantee it won't be loaned out or touched but then they steal it to invest in risky ventures is just lying about what your business does.

      It goes into a "Crypto Bank" - hence FTX, which was a fraudulent bank. These crypto banks are not regulated or secured. I always knew it was a scam.

      @@artyfuffkin7805 Yes, it has to be sold first. Then you get the cash, and can transfer into your bank accounts. I'm not sure if it setup with PayPal yet. But this is where the fraud comes in, because they are basically worthless and has no value. Only a temporary value. Warren Buffet spoke extensively about this about a year ago.

    I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

    When fiat money came in, SBF sold them FTT coin. Then the FTT coin, went into collateralization, and other financial tricks, but whom held the cash. lol. When another exchange tried to convert the FTT to cash, the company did not have the cash to cover. Billions is missing.

    The FTX debacle was not a crypto failure. It was a centralized entity that did not adhere to crypto principles. If congress comes out with harsh regulations it will only push that industry offshore. The US became a leader in Internet Technologies because of reasonable regulations. The US will lose its dominant position in the world if we can't get it together.
