I think in terms of vibration. It's more to do with the type of flooding or plinth or whatever you have that it sits on. Where I live they get a Miele commercial washing machine and when it ramped up to maximum speed of the final spin it made an awfull vibrational noise and as it was a gravity drain model it had to be on a plinth. You could hear the vibrations from down the corridor even though the laundry door was shut.
I just installed mine and the vibration and rattling is ridiculous. I also have read the book and cannot figure out a spin only cycle so everything is soaking wet.
Mine was installed last week, same problem. I think this issue applies to all 9KG machines. Miele put an XL drum into the same size chassis as a 6 or 7 KG older model. Big drums must vibrate more than small. However I’m afraid of lifespan. My old Miele 6.5 KG was more steady even 10 years old.
What is up with all this massive vibration problem? I think the problem is the "defective" suspension springs on these modern Miele's or maybe bad quality shock absorbers transferring the vibration and making all that noise throughout the entire machine

How do you make the W1 do a spin only? The video shows the sequence but it is done so rapidly I cannot see it.
Go to programs and swipe to the end, select spin and drain
If you have a dial, then go to further programs, and then scroll down to spin/drain

I have heard louder vibrations from older Miele washing machines, even their commercial ones.
