Just ordered the full kit. Some people may say a total waste of 300$ canadian. But my life is priceless and this seems to be the best kit for my belt out of all the other ones ive been looking at. Just need to get a decompression needle. Hopfully I dont need to use this. But id rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. In the meantime be comfortable while carrying it around! Thanks for the good video!
@@flatlinefiberco hello again. I got it like a week ago. 100% satisfied and 100% perfect for my battle belt. I Couldnt be happier and will definitly be ordering another real soon. Thanks flatline!
just got mine all set up and have to say, I like this way more than the agilite MD2 or the WPS ifak which are all comparable in size. The High Speed Gear ifak is just too damn big and floppy, and Blue Force Gear ifak is too limited (no shears or TQ spot). This is by far my favorite of bunch, will be very surprised if this disappoints when shtf.
In your prototypes, did you consider having more than just 1 large elastic retention band? I ask because when treating PTs I always found it annoying having everything come out when all I wanted was 1 item.
Absolutely. This is meant to be a simple low profile kit. Having more organization makes the pouch larger. There is possible a larger kit with more organization is in the future.
@@flatlinefiberco My bad I wasn't clear. I think the overall size is good, wouldn't want anything much bigger; tired of the issued IFAKs that are the size of 2 bricks. Just looking for the same foot print with an additional band so I could separate the chest seal from a pressure dressing or 14GA hard needle.
@athrough9 really stoked to get mine but I initially thought the same about the insert. It'll definitely work but maybe in the future when you release new sizes just add in some options for different inserts or maybe even some modular design with holes and some shock cord the user can do what he/she likes. Still really like what you guys are doing here and really stoked to get mine. Going to be a massive upgrade from my old one.
NPAs are what I'm the most familiar with and the most commonly found in trauma kits. The compressed gauze is what one would use for wound packing. Combat quick clock gauze is great, but it would drive the cost of the kit up significantly. We will eventually carry combat gauze as well, but it can be easily found from reputable websites.
I'm no expert, but what I gather is opa can cause choking. Been watching some things, just food for thought, get training, I think what your looking for is called stop the bleed
That’s what antibiotics are for 👍 Stopping the bleeding is much more important plus if Im rendering aid to myself Im not worried about gloves. If Im working on someone else they are to protect me from their blood. Hope this helps.
@@flatlinefiberco thanks for the reply. You have some valid points that I do agree with. Depending on how severe the wound is would definitely alter some priorities. Personally if I was treating myself I would wear gloves if the situation allowed it. It is possible to infect oneself. Yes that's what antibiotics are for but sometimes antibiotics do not always work. Hope you keep making content I do enjoy your videos.
Regular gloves aren't for sterility, they're for body substance isolation. Keep the patient's juices out of any cuts on my hands. They should be generally clean, but not sterile. Sterile gloves are something else entirely for specific procedures and are fairly involved to put on. Any combat casualties are going to have dirty wounds, and in the military setting will receive prophylactic broad spectrum antibiotics. Source: active duty combat medic.

Thank you for the support!
Great, detailed video!
Thanks man!
Got mine but no one wrap for either one of the just i ordered. None the less love them
My apologies for that. Shoot me an email if you would please at chadsmith@flatlinefiberco.com and I'll get you taken care of.
Would running the tq holder on top of the pimp cause any issues?
Nope. That would just come down to preference. Run it on top and let me know how you like it.
I am curious why you chose an NPA over an OPA? And no quickclot for a gunshot or knife wound?

So much for keeping your gloves sanitized it's the first thing that you touch with your bare hands is the fingers.

@@flatlinefibercogot mine love it, for educational purposes why did you guys chose not to include quick clot?

Did the contents of the med kit change because I did not receive all of that?
They did. The only thing that changed though is it now comes with one compressed gauze.
Can this be mounted vertical on molle?
It can, but not without some creativity. We are working on making it compatible to be mounted vertically.
None available on your site?
The pouches themselves are in stock. We are waiting on the contents to arrive.
@@flatlinefiberco ya I’m interested in the full kit
@@franksnydershoots cool. You can set notifications on the product page. They will go in stock Monday or Tuesday once the kits arrive.
Yeah mine didn’t include the velcro one wrap for mounting… so… thanks
😂 Dude people make mistakes. Hit up customer service and we will get you some. Try not to whine on the internet. It's not a good look.

That's how I roll 🤘
Why can't people just use regular molle instead of fucking malice clips
You can use whatever you want.
